These threads are always great/scary/interesting. Share a sixth sense story you have had or any ghost story you have had part int.

The only time I had anything happen was this

I was sleeping in my room in the basement. Across the basement there was a small bay window. All of a sudden I woke up laying on my back and I usually sleep on my side or stomach. As my eyes focused I saw a pair of glowing eyes staring right back at me. I sat there, petrified. I could not move or even yell for anyone in the house to help me. I sat locked in contact with this pair of floating glowing eyes. All of a sudden they moved. It was a damn black cat. I woke up simply because I felt the eyes watching me. I believe people have other untapped sense and that there are other things going on in this world. I do not know if I am a total ghost believer or not but I believe in something.

Share your stories no matter how lame you think they are.

When I was a kid, I used to spend every summer at my grandparent's house in New Hampshire (out in the mountains, near the Canadian border). they lived in one of those typically big and dark New England mansions. every time I'd be playing in the back year, I felt like someone inside the house was watching me, even when I knew the house was empty.

it always used to creep me the hell out.

My aunt got all psycho on us (she was a serious mental case) and she sent me emails the days before her suicide saying blah blah no one cares about me anymore and stuff. Then one day she stopped emailing me and I didn't think twice (she was crazy). Anyhow I had a dream I was at my grandparents where she lived and we would gather like a total of twice a year (thats how often I saw her) and she smiled and said that it was all okay and not my fault. The day after the emails stopped I found out she killed herself.

Another time I was working really hard on this encryption program in C++ implemented from scratch for school. I was debugging it for DAYS and could not find the source of my problem. To set the scene a couple months earlier my brother died from cancer. Anyhow I am really close to not getting it in on time and then failing the class. Late into the early hours of the morning on the last day I had to complete it I was exhausted and went to lay down for a rest. I shut my eyes and then my brother appeared in a half asleep dream and his mouth bubbled open like in a comic book and all this code went into the bubble like he was speaking it. I woke up, went to the computer and it was exactly where my problem was among all the lines of code. very creepy.

I saw a ufo with flashing blue lights fly overhead?
Wait that's not supernatural. Nvm. Maybe mysterious winds?

random.

on, like, September 9th, 2001, I had a dream that a bomb went off in NYC and killed my parents.

I told my friends about it and laughed it off, but we all got pretty creeped out on Sept. 11th. I was calling my parents non-stop to make sure they were ok (my dad worked in one of the buildings that collapsed, but was still on his way to work when it went down).

I was exceptionally upset when my grandfather died, I'm an atheist and don't believe in any sort of afterlife, though sometimes I wish I did, as it can be depressing. A year or two later I dreamed I was on the front steps of his house and he was telling me it was alright, to stop worrying, and I did. From then on I'm not sad when I think about him. I believe the dream was a subconscious way to make myself feel better, but it worked.

When you're half asleep, it is easy for you mind to hallucinate or go into a dream state. Happens to me all the time when I wake up in the middle of night, I'd see this cloaked figure approach me from the hall and then envelope me as I'm petrified.

Somtimes the figure will show up accompanied by green smoke. Eerie isn't it?

What is spooky is my mom still lives there. My son was like 2 before we could get him back to visit grandma. He was all happy and running around. He walked by the bathroom and suddenly screamed in a bloody terror. He would not use the potty there anymore. He would clutch me HARD if I held him and walked down that hall near the rest room.

Fast forward 3 years.

My daughter did the EXACT same thing . . .

Some six years ago, we lived in a townhouse complex on the eastern shore of MD. At first I used to get a creepy feeling while I was alone in the house, but I'm a wuss when it comes to this sort of thing...my man card still has smiley face stickers on it.

As the weeks passed, more odd phenomena presented itself...things disappearing only to be found in the most impossible places, inexplicable bed shaking when there was only person on it, etc. While these could easily be attributed to natural causes, the clincher came one afternoon after school when I returned to see my mom with an odd expression on her face. She said she was in the living room watching some TV when all of a sudden, a young Native American child of no more than 6 or 7 just 'appeared'. He stood expressionless for a few moments and then simply vanished. She didn't feel threatened by him, but it just seemed to deviate a bit from her usual routine.

We asked one of the local maintenance workers who had been around here for a while, and he disclosed the fact that the previous tenants had moved out because they apparently saw "smoke coming from a wall." The strangest thing was that my family was going through a bit of a crisis at the time...lots of fighting and whatnot; as the source of the problem left, so did the phenomena.

I work underground. At the end of the hall there is a long ramp that descends underground. I'm in a gated facility with no access alone. I have access to a variety of speakers to talk on the complex and be heard and to hear what ppl say (to communicate in the daytime mostly). At night I have heard something stomping down that hall. I never see anything on the security camera. I have ran full speed down there myself to eyeball it - and have never seen anything. I have to work there alone at night often . . .

Have you attempted to investigate it? Not that I have steel nuts or something, but I would rather know what really happened instead of letting it bug me for the rest of my life.
