I'm way jealous of you guys, I'm gaming on a regular 26in CRT tv. I don't have the money for a nice TV like you guys, it all goes to tuition. 🙁

Ns1 Room - 9/30/05 (approx)

malibu ... yuck! 😛

ya, wtf... that's a girl's drink.

frat house. its purpose was clearly not for MY consumption. that's what the greygoose/crown/herbage is for 😉

Mine isn't worth posting. :-

I got a lot of consoles, games, DVDs, but they are played on a low budget TV while I sit on a couch old enough that when it comes time to move, I'm just going to cut it into pieces and throw it out the window to the curb.

My home theater setup was just completed this past weekend with that stand. My center channel decided to die though so it is being replaced hence the giant chasm in the middle.

I am blown away each time I fire up Uncharted on that screen.

what tv size and specs are you running?!

TV: Pioneer Kuro 5010FD 1080p 50" plasma HDTV
Receiver: Onkyo 705
Mains: 2x av123 x-ls
Center (not pictured): av123 x-cs
Surrounds: 2x HTD Middies
Subwoofer: HSU VTF-1 sub
HD-DVD Player: Toshiba HD-A35
Blu-ray Player: PS3
Wii in the corner.

I could not be happier with the setup.

Where I sit

i am loving this setup. If you look, all of the white objects and silver objects are positioned in the middle, then the black surrounds it. No man could ever design a room to this perfection...
very nice setup
*cough* My wife put the stuff on top of the speakers but I put the rest of it together on my own with no input from her but thanks for the...uh...compliment.

Yreka, your childrens TV is nicer than my TV. 🙁

How do you guys afford such nice televisions? Obviously your jobs are better then mine(grocery store working, hey it pays for school). I just don't see how you are able to drop 2k on a tv. I am soooooo jealous. 😀

Nice setup, but in my opinion, you really gotta do something with those wires.
I'd love to be able to knock some holes in the wall and run the wires that way but it's an apartment and I don't think they'd be too thrilled about that. I've looked at running channels but finding one big enough for all my cables is going to be a pain and I don't think it would look all that good.

Thanks for the input.

Do you know that the Rock Band drums have built in stick holders? They're those weird plastic tabs on the top rim of the 2 middle drums, they both pull out and they store your sticks.

Sticks on the floor just askin to be broken 🙁

Never knew that. Thanks!

Heh...

Jukebox Hero Action Shot!

Sorry the picture is not closer to the actual setup, but this is just a quick pic from our Rock Band party last week. I need a new dvd rack (Santa's bringing it) and a way to stop my 20lb. Bengal cat to stop jumping on my floorstanding speakers. 😛

"...with stars in his eyes!"

A quick pic of my BR at college. I still have to paint the flexy rack (piano black probably) over xmas break. Um... obviously you can tell I don't care about "cable management" right now. I'll take care of that after break. Didn't seem like there was any point to routing and zipping up cables when I just have to bring the rack home in a few weeks anyway.

Note: the white/gray speakers are of that $100 pioneer system that I bought for my brother as an xmas present. Just had to break them out to test them to make sure they worked well (as I didn't have that long to return them from buy.com if they were DoA).

I'm using the same exact desk.

Naah... it killed the rats... and the birds... as far as I know it's a living creature 🙂

Hehe, I've definitely gotten my money out of it. Has been in 3 apartments through 4 years of school and somehow isn't broken! Top surface is still in pretty good condition... though I tend to pick at the laminate that's coming off of everything else!

On that note... I have to get to re mounting my speakers and I need to put the 24" LCD on a mount above my lappy so I can use that shelf on the desk for something else... That would also eliminate the 90 degrees of neck travel required to go from left monitor > laptop > right monitor/TV!
