1) I think the Giants(or New York fans for that matter) should publicly hang Junkin...He's brought in to do ONE THING and screws it up TWICE, not once, TWICE!!! *Maybe I'm a bit bitter*
2) 'Fossil' should get fired...personal opinion. He has NO balls trying to kick a FG with a bad special teams instead of trying to put the game away and going for it. Even if they DON'T make the 4th down play, at least it show he has faith in his players AND SF doesn't get the extra field position of the missed FG.
3) That's now TWO games in a ROW where the officiating either 'almost ' screwed the Giants or DID. The Eagles game 2 weeks ago had me so heated. Not once, but TWICE the ref's brought back Giants' TD's because of terrible calls.

The NFL should be ashamed of themselves. They are basically slapping Giants' fans in the face saying "Yeah, we knew we goofed, but...screw you. We are sticking by out incompetant refs rather than doing something about it. There's always next year"
*sigh*

What the hell are they gonna do? Take the Giants back to SF for another play?

Are you out of your mind? He should have gone for it instead of kicking? That's nuts. Fassel is a good coach and he's coming back.

If you read what I wrote, I was talking about the FIRST missed field goal, not the botched one at the end of the game. That was quite obvious that he had to go for it. I probably would have gone for another crack into the end zone with the 3rd down at the end of the game, but...with how things were going at that point, the game would have probably ended with an Int.

I'm NOT a Raiders fan, but we all know they got ripped last year against the Pats. Before that, as ESPN stated, Bills got done in by officiating against the Titans (how they screwed THAT one up was beyond me, but whatever).

This isn't anything new and the NFL has made some progress in the replay/review process, but the league should institute a 'late game review' to be done by ref's at ONE decisive play at the end of games (even though the booth has the authority to review the play for the ref's, it should almost be a mandatory thing nowadays because of all these atrocious calls) that can be done with or w/o timeout's remaining. One review per game is NOT enough when the ref's are screwing up this much. One review per half or just 2 reviews per game might help.

That pass interference bull is crap, he caught the ball anyway, and didn't even make to the sideline.

???

No offense, but what game are YOU talking about?
Not the Giants/49ers... sounds like the end of the Steelers/Browns game.

Hey that call gives the Giants fans another reason to whine and their whining is highly entertaining so I'm glad it was brought up.

Regardless of that blown call the Giants had a ton of chances to win the game. Then it wouldn't have not gone to a last second field goal try by the Giants imho.

Its just sad there was another blown call in the playoffs. :( At least now the Raiders are "protected" I can't imagine if they got a blown call against them this weekend. My god rioting.

Should the Giants finished off the 49ers? Hell yes. Plenty of chances to do so.
I'm just sick of the officiating in general. NO ONE will be reprimanded (especially not the ref who didn't throw the flag because he is so "highly regarded" in the league) and as much as it would suck for Cali, I'd like to see the ref's screw the Raiders over again to just to see what happens then. The NFL is lucky fans aren't as rabid as soccer/futbol fans, otherwise referree's would be dead already (as well as our 'hero' Junkin).

They thing I'm mostly pissed about isn't that fact that the Giants lost (which I am disappointed about), it's the fact that had they not overcome TWO bad officiating calls the LAST week over the Eagles, they wouldn't be in the position they were in to blow a lead, only to have ANOTHER bad call. I think the Giants been passed the Raiders' 'bad call' torch...

Anyone other than myself agree?

I think Don Cheadle needs to make another 'playoff'' commercial for the NFL.
How's this setup...?(and I was thinking about this concept before this Sunday by the way)
*Don Cheadle talking*
"In normal life, rules are made to provide order out of chaos...but ever since the playoffs, the enforcers turn the other way"

"Illegal forward passes are now highly effective kick-back returns"
*clip of the Titans vs. Bills AKA "the Musc City miracle" is shown

"Quarterback fumbles don't exist in Bradyville"
*clip of Patriots's vs. Raiders is shown*

"Pass interference is just more efficient tackling"
*clip of Sunday's Giants vs. 49ers game shown*

"The NFL playoffs. They've turned the word home and made it into HOME"
*clip of Titans, Patriots and Terrell Owens celebrating all spliced back to back*

What do you guys think? =) *smirk*
