It is sort-of irrelevant. What's clear is that there is a HUUUGE effort going on swamping s.m. with all sorts of "stories", it's the age of twitter, facebook, memes whatever. Personally I think the most evident efforts to manufacture and spread propaganda comes from the Right, but I would be a retard saying that the "Left" doesn't do so either.

Whether there are thousands of bots "voting" and spamming s.m. from Russia, China or India...isn't it sort-of irrelevant?

She played the man, not the game.

He went all-in with a terrible hand (stamina, et al) and lost.

Then he complains about the mic. His surrogates complain about Holt. It's all victimhood from a guy who cannot stop talking about how rich and successful he is. Fuck him. And fuck the people who champion him.

Some classic Trump moments:

- I'll release my taxes after the audit is done. Also, I've been under audit for 15 years.

- My strongest asset is my temperament. Why, I almost called Hillary some horrible things but I didn't because my temperament is so tremendous.

- His rambling non-sequitur about his Florida club where he doesn't discriminate, not even against Mooslims.

- Of course I don't pay taxes, or employees, that's smart. Wow, look at these NATO moochers not paying their fair share...lol

- Whenever he had an opportunity to show some empathy he would find a way to mention a business he owns in some city and how successful he is.

- Bragging about getting Obama to release his birth certificate, of course Hillary the LOSER couldn't do it. SAD.

- Casually suggesting in an offhand comment China should invade North Korea. That's what that was, right?. Like war is like some board game.

- Constantly drinking water after blasting Rubio in the primaries for the water incident.

- Sounding like a fifth-grader trying to bullshit his way through an oral report on a book he hadn't read.

- "You've been fighting ISIS your entire adult life." maybe the dumbest thing ever said at one of these things.

Trump seems to believe that we're losing everywhere at everything, and that we should be afraid of the future. I'm not really sure why he believes that. He seems to be of the opinion that money and money alone is the guiding light to what is good. Further his conception of honor seems to be responding to childishness with force. These make him unfit to be the commander in chief of our military.

I won't overcome my dislike for Clinton, but will vote for her instead of a third party. I guess it's better than the 2000 election, while both candidates suck this time too, there's a definite and obvious worse choice.

Hillary looked depressed and sullen last night. But what most voters found was her 6:00 PM shadow had not been shaved giving her an even more sinister look. With thoughts of deleted Clinton Foundation emails dancing in her head she was probably distracted as well.

Trump was a debate ninja. I expect he will win the election in a landslide.

Rick Perry WILL be your next president.

I don't understand why being "for" or "against" the Iraq war at the time is even a real issue now. Hindsight being 20/20 and all. Weren't we all for the war when the intelligence about WMDs was believed to be true?

Because he claims to be right about everything. On the correct side of any issue. Facts be damned. He doesn't possess the judgment he wants to portray which is essentially perfect judgment on everything.

Because Trump says his 'opposition' to the war showcases his superior judgment even though he doesn't have any foreign policy knowledge.

As for public opinion before the war, everyone definitely wasn't for it, depending on how the question was asked you got somewhere from about 40% to 60% support.

imo it's relevant when there are people (e.g. Sanders) that were clearly against the war from the beginning, and continued to run an anti-war campaign, but Trump certainly isn't one of those.

Speaking of poor judgment it sure looks like a mistake now to play up how he wasn't bothering to prepare. Had he done well it would have served as a good talking point but since he tanked now he just looks like an idiot who didn't do his homework.

I wasn't. Plenty of analysts weren't either. All them predicted exactly what would happen in Iraq. And it happened...then it got way worse.

You know who else was never for it? Obama. also, probably Jesus.

Trump really melted down today. He doubled down on attacking the former Ms. Universe, declared the Republican moderator biased against him, declared his microphone part of a conspiracy against him, and also declared he won because of online polls.

He knows he just got his ass kicked and he's panicking. Pretty satisfying. Guess he should have done his homework.

Appears that way. We'll see if he goes ballistic in the next one.

Watched a good part of the debate, my takeaway is:

  • If one actually Believes whatever manufactured and calculated rehearsed talking points come out of Billary's mouth at this point, she certainly was more Politician sounding. Of course, for someone who is a long practiced Establishment Politician, she should be. Completely expected, nothing new from Billary.
  • Trump, obviously, was Trump. Thought he could have been more prepared, somewhat less generalities, more specifics. Large miss on e-mail, jumbled "stamina" with reiteration of "stamina", instead of just throwing all the recent press of Billary collapsing and coming up with weak excuse of pneumonia. Really thought he should have worked in the untrustable angle more. Also misses for younger people (Bernie generation which expects everything to be fairy farts and "free") and minorities. If I was him I'd have made a direct statement to them telling them in Trump version "I feel your pain and I will work to not only make this a country of law and order but less dog eat world for you".
Not sure I'd 'give' the debate to either of them, although if I had to pick, I'd swing it to Billary only from the sheeple perspective...that they'd actually have any inclination to believe, well, anything Billary says means whichever fools actually would do that would likely be more wooed by her rather than him.

Was not a disaster for Trump but certainly not a win. If he cannot step it up to another level and start hitting on young and minority issues he's 110% certain going to fail.

Yeah I'm sure the young/minorities all love the kind of guy you identify with.

lmao, he's so dead.

I just realized something else too, which is that if he does try to soften his bullshit from yesterday (e.g. "That makes me smart" or "We settled with no admission of guilt, it was very easy to do") and actually try to hide or justify his sleaze, it only provides Clinton room to attack him and his self-proclaimed honesty or stamina or balls or whatever he calls it. I don't think he has a chance of improving the next two debates.
