Let's Do The Time Change Again.

with zero positive attributes.
Other than the ability to have many more months running, kayaking, talking walks, mountain biking, rappelling, etc. outdoors after work. I can't wait for politicians to end DST and let me sit on the couch more. That is especially true when it is cold and rainy on the weekends--nothing beats weeks on end of sitting.

I don't know what you think the time change does then. Physics aren't altered due to the whims of politicians.
Gives a full extra hour of light after work to actually have fun and be physical outside. I'm not sure why physics need to be altered for that.

Start work earlier. You can petition your company to change the hours to whatever arbitrary time you like. Seasonal hours are thing, and nothing requires any specific hour.

I'd be glad if you helped with the petition. Years of trying hasn't worked yet for me. You'd have to double up--my wife's work also doesn't allow flexible hours.

You can just sleep in an hour. No need for you to change time. Let the rest of us enjoy life.

Clocks are supposed to be synced with the sun, and when they aren't, things get fucked up as demonstrated in the link I helpfully provided. If your company doesn't want to change business hours, maybe it isn't such a good idea, and you should just deal with the sun as-provided, or find a different job that doesn't keep you locked in a box all day.

Why? Everything is fine with DST. Why would I change jobs? Seems like you are the one with the problem of something unspecified. Is it lack of ability to do things in warm sunny evenings in March? Is it that you prefer kayaking for a few minutes in cold March mornings instead (cut short since you need to now shower before work, plus drive from the lake to home in that precious morning light)?

It does feel like we just went through this. The clock in my truck was still wrong, I guess it will be right again. This whole thing just needs to stop, there's no reason why it needs to be so complicated. Screw waiting on NY just abolish it already. For the few businesses it might affect, well adapt.

I don't care which one we choose, just pick one and go with it. I think synchronizing noon with the sun's peak makes the most logical sense.

Everything isn't fine with DST, which again, if you read the link I provided, would tell you why. I'm up at 5:30 standard time. Work starts at 8 now that the boss is old. It used to be 7. I still get up early, cause when I do my own work on weekends, I start early. I have enough time to do everything I want(and more) regardless of season.

And yes, I've put on the water waaay before the sun comes up, but I'm not going to work afterward. If I'm on the water, that's where the day's being spent, but I could come back and go to work.

I'm all for that, but lets make it daylight saving time.

The sun peaks (called the "solar noon") after noon in most locations. It peaks well after 1 PM in many locations. We actually need to move almost 2 hours to be closer to noon, some places 3 hours.

i fucking hate DST with a passion.
if you want me to come to work 1 hour earlier, just fucking say "from X day to Y day you start at 8AM instead of 9AM", don't make my change my watch.
"oh but there is less light"
MY BRAIN IS CAPABLE OF UNDERSTANDING SEASONS !! fuckwits.
