The sad thing is.... he WAS NOT exaggerating. He paid to have a page made for class to suck up to the teacher. He went on about how his buddy is a professional web designer. Hrmmmmm..... professional? Not likely. This "piece of work" show the noobest characteristics of a beginner.

Did they really have to jam ALL that data onto one page? It's got what seems to be two navigation bars, and there's no order to it at all.

The colors suck, although I suppose that can't be helped. Also, overdoing it on the school logo isn't 'cool.' It's just annoying...no need to repeat it 40000 times.

Not to bad, I would give it 5 out of ten. Make it more simple and get rid of the redundant inormation.

5/ 10 at most,
the top part is horrible, way too much wasted space. Lookup the rule of thirds .... never ever start with elements in center and then add stuff to the sides. Goes agains one of the elementary design principles....

9/10

There is too much stuff going on with too little information. The logo and links take up more than 50% of the page, which is way too much for a non-animated, non-flash website.

The graphics need to be toned down and at least 75% of the page needs to be set aside for real information to be posted.

Whoever made it has a good color scheme and overall design with the nice logo, but he/she went way overboard.

I would rate it rather low. The visual appeal of the site is moderately ok, but it could stand for a good bit of improvement. The browser compatibility sucks, they should make the code standards compliant, and I absolutely hate the having two elements (main body and central portion) that both scroll vertically. I'm sure I could find more to [female canine] about if I wanted to take the time. 🙂

BTW, I'm not a professional web designer or anything, just have done one website for a non-profit organization, one paid job for a friend's business, and several iterations of my personal website (none of them have ever been finished, few have made it to the web, and none have been posted to a real domain outside of my ISP's personal webspace).

too busy...it takes too long to load. then again beauty is in the eye of the beholder. i give it a 4.

Since the site is from a teacher, I'd give it a 8, if 10 is the worst

Too much open space and not enough info on the front page. Plus, the page title gets to me
