This is why religion is bad folks... It gives a reason to stupid actions.

From one non-believer to another:

Grow the fuck up.

You're agnostic, we are not the same bucko.

I'm an athiest, but I still think you're talking nonsense. This guy is obviously not a very good representation of the average Christian.

FIXED. Religion has nothing to do with this person being an idiot. They were being anything but Christian if that was how the events transpired. I'm not sure which is worse...that accident or the logic of your post....

Uhhhh, I'd say the accident is worse.

Perhaps I should've said the logic of the person in the accident... anytime someone is physically injured, I would say that it would be worse though, so you have to isolate that part.

Religion has nothing to do with it...people act on any sort of irrational passionate conviction.

Considering that the USSR and China have supplied a FREAKING HUGE EXAMPLE of the failure of pure dogma (of a sort that had nothing do with religion), I don't understand how people can still claim that religion is the only thing which makes people do stupid things.

Working for "a higher goal" can be either noble or terrifying...and that has very little to do with the goal in most cases.

Some people do amazing work in the name of God, Humanity, Science, America, Freedom, Justice, and other similar Abstract Terms.

Other people do incredibly awful things under the same banners. Yet some on this forum seem to think that abolishing one of those causes will suddenly cure all ills in the world. Now THAT'S a laughably irrational belief system!

Just know that by being a self righteous prick, you are the same as the theists you claim to hate. In effect, you ARE what you hate.

Dumbass.

I'd be interested in witnessing your attempted demonstration to the effect that the driver's claim about Jesus' private message to him is false.

Can you show that Jesus didn't tell him to ram the other driver's car?

Isaiah 5:14-16
And He hath commanded unto you, yea shall you use the entrance ramp to attain merging speed.
and always shalt thou signal before thy lane change begins.
For he who does these things not is an abomination before Me and my followers shall smite thee down.

Being honest, I've wanted to do that to people. I haven't, but I've wanted to.

Example: Hillcroft just north of Westheimer (galleria area, houston). Northbound is down to one lane (usually three) so off course it is a bottleneck. People who deserve to be rammed: People that pull out of the open lane into the soon to be closed lanes and zoom to the front, slowing everybody down. You have two lanes of assholes and one lane of drivers trying to get through the one open lane. If I heard a voice tell me to stomp on the gas and punish one of those assholes, I'd probably do it.

Please remember, when you talk to God it is called prayer. When god talks back it is called schizophrenia.

Unless it happened 2000 years ago. Then you were called a prophet and your rantings were put in a book of fairy tales.

I once had some idiot woman that I yelled at while driving pull up in back of me wave a picture of Jesus at me, pointing at it. Maybe this guy's wife?
