Don't pop keys off your laptop keyboard, especially if you have a Dell Inspiron 4000. They are not attached like regular keyboard keys and cannot be easily popped back on. :(

My boss's thinkpad had to go to the shop and have the entire keyboard replaced. He popped off 4 keys and I couldn't get them on at all. Sent it to the repair shop and they said "new keyboard".

I popped the ~/' key off just in case I couldn't get it back on since I don't need that key very often. I have it kinda halfway back on now, I'm just gonna leave it and see what happens.

Dude, just figure it out...

a few keys popped off my mom's Dell 4000 whatever laptop.. took me about 10 minutes to figure out how they go back on - but they do.

BTW, don't buy DELL laptops. They're el-cheapo.

Did they have the little cheap plastic scissor-attachment things? How did you get the key back on?
