As to the surface comment, that might be, i'm on a wood grain desk, no mouse pad, but again, no mouse pad for corded OR Mx700.

actually, you just extract them from the .exe using winrar and update them using device manager, then you get the enhanced dpi without the problems that mouseware gives you![]()

Could be the wood grain desk. I remember having trouble with my corded intellimouse optical on a wood grain finish also...
