Let me say, the Mx700 SUX. BIG TIME SUX.

ok, not big time. it is wireless and decent for a wireless mouse, but i don't get where everyone gets off on saying how great it is. :(

it isn't great. Shoot, my cheapo $10 logitech LED mouse is better, tracks better, responds better etc. the only reason i use the mx700 is i don't like having a cord attached, but the response with the mx700 SUX when playing Minesweeper. gdi if the damn mouse doesn't skip and jump. not NEARLY as precise as my Cheapo mouses, for Minesweeper i mean.

nope. i have 2 of them, both work within specs.

as i said. to me the wireless mouse is a necessary evil. i just happen to hate cords more than the defects in the wireless mouse, but this mouse doesn't track NEARLY as well as an optical corded mouse and anyone who thinks so is just deceiving themselves.

try playing Minesweeper. it's the precision not the speed that's the problem.

I would guess you need a quite a bit of precision for first person shooters also. I play minesweeper with mine, it's just as accurate as a corded mouse.

Try hitting the connect button on the receiver and mouse to change the channel it's using maybe?

For more elaboration, maybe a solution for you....Try useing it on a different surface. Obviously EVERYONE THAT LIKES THE MX700 isn't wrong. You seem like a very small minority. I call "user error".

<-------proud owner of a Razer Boomslang 2000

I like my Razer more than any optical I have seen. and I had optical before the Razer.
I just wish the razer fit my hand better.

I picked the MX500 because as cool as cordless would be, the MX500 is heavy enough without adding the weight of batteries.

On a side note I am directly responsible for the MX700 mouse being carried in Best Buy stores up in Canada. :)

maybe you need a different mousepad or something?

my optical sucks on certain surfaces.

Yeah, just used my MX700 for the first time at a lan party and whooped some ass at Raven Shield.

It took me a few hours to get used to the weight, but now I quite like it.

Anyone who has precision problems with this mouse has obviously fscked something up.

i have have both the MX500 and MX700 - 700 sucks major balls when compared to the 500. i hate cords also, but just bring out the 500 when i need to game....... and don't give me any crap about "you're not using the right surface." i know what to use for an optical mouse.

I had the MX500.. got a MX700.. sold MX500. MX700 is just like the MX500, just a bit heavier (which I actually like) and cordless. Now I'm waiting for a good deal on the MX Duo.. :(

I have problems using my MX Duo at any distance over 4-5 feet.... Using it in conjunction with my 35" tv can be a problem sometimes, not sure if it creates some kind of field or something, but i have to sit pretty damn close to get it to work correctly... Any farther than 5 feet (my couch is 6 feet away) and it barely works...

Mine gets here on Tuesday! :p

Bought the Logitech MX duo through that deal with Office Depot...wireless keyboard and mouse for $49.99 can't be beat.

I just picked up an MX Duo the other day for $50 bucks and it was some of the best cash I've spent. I seriously love this mouse. If nothing else I love the way it fits my hand. I've yet to experience any of the problems you're having.

I've got an MX300 and an MX500. My roommate has the MX700. My corded mice simply track better and are more responsive as well. When playing FPS games, his mouse is just a millisecond slower, but it screws me up once in a while. The cords in the corded mice get in the way once in a while, but it's worth it to me.
