BETWEEN NOW AND TUESDAY MORNING.
COPIED FROM MSN.COM
Nov. 18 ? One of the most anticipated meteor storms of modern times is about to send two flurries of comet debris raining down through Earth?s atmosphere. Peak activity for the Leonid meteor shower is due to arrive between now and when the sun comes up Tuesday. In the parlance of hurricane forecasters, the storm is nearly upon us, and all preparations should be rushed to completion.

Maryland area = ~5am

I saw this while I was flying a few years back and it was TOTALLY awesome! This isn't something to miss if you haven't seen it 🙂

This WILL be the best meteor shower for at least 65 years, probably even longer. Do not miss this. Last year I saw a meteor about every ten seconds which is amazing because a normal shower is less than one a minute. This year the earth is going into an even better part of the dust cloud but the moon will wash out most meteors. The second, bigger storm will be at about 10:45 UT or 2:45 AM Pacific, etc.

Well, you're right, but in this case it's a good tip to spread around, our peak time here in TN is within an hour. Maybe the extra notice will tip off some other east coasters to the great show 🙂

Just wondering, no one posted, and I can't find it in news stories, what direction of the sky is it supposed to be in?

click me for information on what time you should set your alarm to ...

and is it going to be hot or cold tonight? hmmm.........

and btw, they suggest that you use the pole or tree leaves to block the moon or something ....

if you miss it tonight, it seems like you may be able to wake up very very early to watch it tomorrow as well ... but, who knows?

There is supposed to be a small one about 11:30 EST, if I understand the articles I am reading, but the "big" one is supposed to be 5:30-6 EST tomorrow morning.
