from what I had read it was because hemp could be used to make paper and cut into Hurst's profits in the pulp wood business.

edit:
Where would we be if we had adopted a hemp powered hemp car? I wouldn't bang on a regular car like the video below.

Because you have always and continue to vote for the very same people. And you will never change.

Sooner or later the ignorant racist old white men keeping "devil-weed" schedule 1 will die off and reform will pass.

When I was a kid the mere smell of weed could get your door kicked in and "med-cards" were an impossible dream!

It's legal here in NJ, and with the money the old white men are making, I don't see what you are saying happening.

And if weed is taken off schedule 1 (same as heroin lol) that profit will only increase so why exactly?

Contrary to your point I believe it's inevitable .... the primary obstacle to de-scheduling is all the old farts making decisions.

Time will tell, however when I drove by the place this past Sunday, there was a line to get in. NY has been dragging their feet on giving out whatever you need to open a dispensary, so illegal stores are everywhere.

Those lines won't last for long.... the novelty has worn off here in CT... "lines" are a thing of the past. (aside from maybe 1-2 people)

Wait till there's 9 million legal places to shop for bud .... places are opening here left and right. If you want a glimpse into the future check out how the weed market is going in Cali. (and north of the border!)

If you need a good alternative to black market or overpriced dispensaries THCa flower is the shit. It's federally legal under the farm bill, generally cheap, and can be mail ordered with a credit card. I believe some states have caught on and criminalized it so check before you order. You're welcome.

My wife informed me yesterday, that there are 4 vape shops opening soon. I'll admit that I don't know if they will be selling weed, but even if they are not, that's an overkill either way.

Yeah, lots of that shit going on. Its a mix of the Starbucks issue and the predatory payday loan places and similar in low income areas, where they're flooding the market, but especially in lower income areas. At least half will probably be out of business in 6 months because there's just too many for the areas.

We have had Starbucks for over a decade. However the first vape shop has only been here for around 4 years.

Legal federally as long as it's derived from hemp and contains less than .3% Delta 9 THC. I haven't searched a lot, but the prices I've seen weren't that cheap - $320/oz. I prefer living in a state that allows personal grows.

Most of the vape shops around here have come and gone. All kinds of laws and regulations making it difficult. Heck, the mail order outfit I bought my eDab pipes from has a ridiculous surcharge, because they think someone might smoke a tobacco product in them, so their prices went nuts.

Derived from hemp? We're not talking about edibles. If it's less than .3% Delta 9 it is hemp. I'm not aware of any THCa hemp flower that is more than .3% Delta 9. That's kinda the reason it exists after all. It would be illegal to sell if it was more than .3% Delta 9.

It's not hard to find for $140-200/oz online. At least it wasn't the last time I ordered some a month ago. I can even buy it locally for that price. I will grant you that It does vary in price quite a bit though. Availability (especially for the cheaper stuff) isn't always great either.

Average price for a MEDICAL ounce in CT is +/- $200 these days and I've paid and little as $145.

Of course I also grow my own which is fully legal here too. ;) (taking the summer off since I can't grow outdoors)

At my local shop, on Sundays they have 30% off OZs. I have bought 25% THC OZs for under $100 twice. I won't smoke anything anymore that's not at least 25%.

My brother worked at Groton for a decade or two (burner then management). I remember him telling me about going out on a sub - test run after build.
