Why am I so hungry after leg day? I had the same amount of food as I do everyday and its like this every leg day.
 
Legs are bigger, so they can burn more carbs than any other muscle group? (Plus the additional circulatory effort to get all that oxygen in there)

There's a reason that cyclists are among the most demanding people when it comes to pre-competition carbohydrate intake. I would hazard a guess that a tour stage costs around 1Mcal an hour. I don't think you can get similar power output without using the legs.
