Haha, awesome statement by Marbury.

Lebron should have said something like, "As you guys know I am with Nike at the moment. However, I think what he is doing is great for kids and families. I wish him the best."

That would have been classy.

ya true he should have said something like that but, he doesn't give a sh*T coz hes rich!!!

"No, I haven't responded to it," James said. "But I think Nike's a great company and they would respond if need be."

What a dumbass.

edited for what he really meant:

"No, I haven't responded to it because Nike pays me a boatload of cash to keep my trap shut about that kind of stuff. Nike is a company that is great at taking advantage of child labor and stupid people willing to spend $150 on shows. They would respond if it they weren't so busy wiping their asses with $100 bills."

marbury is one of the few athletes i respect. atheletic shoe prices are a scam, its all made in china who are you kidding, nikes aren't individually made by some italian artisan to justify their prices after all.

It's not like Marbury could shill for a decent shoe anyway at this point in his career.

Having been the fan of a team he played on in the past, endorsing these shoes that he still makes money on, albeit seemingly altruistically, hardly makes up for him being one of the biggest assholes in the league for a decade.

After the game, Marbury should have taken his shoes off and tried to give them to LeBron.

I kinda want the Starbury's now.

It's not a bad thing that someone buys expensive clothing if one can afford it. It's a bad thing when the person in expensive clothing makes fun of someone in cheap clothing.

Nice unbiased source there.

Honestly. This fool probably has the Lebrons. If Marbury wears em I think they're more than good enough for any of us. Just put in a good insole and you're good to go. I for one would like to get a pair but there isnt a steve and barrys near me.

Wow. This may be the closest I've ever come to wishing a career-ending injury on a professional athlete. A guy like Marbury does the right thing, and some ghetto rat like Lebron criticizes it. Unbelievable.

I think I'm going to have to find a pair of these shoes, the price is right and so is the message.
