Was waiting for a Weather Man reference. Best Nic Cage movie, unless you count The Rock, where he wasn't the lead.

The thing about Cage is that he seems to know he's horrible. He does not take himself seriously at all, and that's what makes his movies entertaining. I like the guy and will generally see his movies, just because you know no matter what he's going to play the character the exact same way.

Remember half way through Con Air when he just decided he wasn't going to have a southern accent anymore? Gold.

Nic Cage is awesome in Raising Arizona and Bad Lieutenant: Port Of Call New Orleans. I liked him in Kick-Ass too. The roles where he is supposed to be ridiculous/over the top for the character to work is where he fits well, the problem is he seems to do that same thing for all of his roles.

After just re-watching Aliens I think Paul Reiser was a horrible freaking choice for that film. I remember diliking him the first time around, but he looks way out of place watching it now. Just adds to the dated feeling of the film.

The Jackal, that really wasn't half bad, even if it unfortunately had absolutely fuck all to do with the real Jackal. Bruce Willis definitely made the film.

Shia .. sigh. I recently watched Wall Street : MNS, and was distracted by his presence. Sad to say, but the young Charlie Sheen could act circles around Shia. Any other decent young actor (Joseph Gordon Levitt for one!) would have immediately raised the quality of the film considerably, given that a lot of it rested on the quality of the lead. Needed more Gordon Gecko, and less bs with Shia and his girl.
