
Received (pretty quickly), a reply from Leaktek support regarding the W2000 failure to shut down issue. Their reply:
We support some solution for you: (Please follow it then check everything)
After install DirectX 9

1. You could download the latest driver and PVR AP with the address ( Download the latest driver & PVR AP )

2. We suggest you need reinstall the TV2000 XP card.
Before you reinstall the latest driver, please to confirm you had remove all of the old driver and applications ( WinFast PVR ).
(After you removed WinFast PVR, you can delete the old directory of the old WinFast PVR from \program files\winfast)
3. You could trid to update your motherboard and VGA's chipset driver to the latest version.
4. You can try another slot to reinstall again.
(Before you install TV2000 card, you need install DirectX 9)
After installation, Please check the 4 devices in the "Device Manager" are working perfect.

After installation, then install the WinFast PVR

Win 2000 now shuts down normally without manual intervention. I think the latest drivers (June) are the key.
For the money, this is a fine card....Now to record!
