<< Oh well, at least Cobain and Staley will be remembered and missed. Whereas when you go(I predict choking on a drumstick in the bathtub), the only tears shed will be those of joy. That's if anyone cares at all. >>
Yee Haw, let's get all pushed out of shape because someone insults your hero fanboy. BTW, my comment was about Cobain, not Staley.
Look, that's my opinion. You don't have to agree with it but no matter what you say I'm sticking with it. >>
I have always been amazed by people's arrogant attitude toward suicide. I think, in the instance of Cobain, that he was obviously a deeply troubled person, and the same forces that motivated his suicide are the ones that made him such a powerful artist. That said, I totally fail to see anything cowardly in suicide, and in some instances (not in Cobain's, admittedly), it can be downright noble in that it is motivated by a desire to save others pain and indignity through the total sacrifice of the decedent. A suicide like Cobain's is, to me, the most extreme symptom of a deep depression, and I can't see any cause for, or benefit to criticizing him after the fact.
