It is hard to draw any conclusions from an internet messageboard. Some people will defend anything, even the slaughtering of innocents, some people will villify anything even the giving of charity. What people say on the internet vs what they do in real life are every different things. In addition the people who have the most one-sided view tend to be the most vocal. I think the general conclusion you are making is not justified for general forum public.

That's according to your own words not mine. The first part of your sentence is not what I said either. Is my English so bad that you find it hard to comprehend? It seems I can't write a few coherent sentences in English that wouldn't misrepresent my actual position. It feels like you responded to a completely different post so I'll try to be clearer this time.
I don't think every gun owner is a crazy sociopath. I think that it's inevitable that out of millions of gun owners some of them are. Don't you? Why do you think I want to take all guns away? Where did I say that or hinted that that's my opinion? I think the world would be a better place if some people didn't own guns.

I noticed a disturbing trend on this forum in which people go to great lengths to defend gun usage.

I think at least part of it is to head off the gun banners since gun banners tend to use any excuse they can think of to want to ban guns. So that encourages gun owners to be more on the offensive against their attacks. If anti-gun people were more rational, such things wouldn't happen.
