Late night snack = getting fat ?

If I’m under may caloric intake for the day and eat relatively soon (1-2hrs) before I go to bed because I get really starving, would this food just turn to fat when I’m asleep (still staying under daily cal limit after the late night snack)? I always try and not eat 3 hrs. before I go to bed. Let’s say I stay under my daily cal limit even after I eat right before but I do go over my daily carb target. Would this be even worse?

What are you eating and you should change your diet so that you are not starving before you go to bed. This in itself should indicate what your eating choices/ timing is not the most efficient or at the very least long term sustainable.

I take a protein shake (197calk 3c 4f 37p) before bed every single night and I've lost weight consistently over the past 12 weeks.

I would have a protein shake instead of something more carby.

BUT if you are under your cal limit you will lose weight anyway. You just have to eat under your cal limit and you will lose weight.

I'm just petrified that whatever I drink before bed, will have me getting up once-twice in the middle of the night to take a leak and then I won't be able to go back to sleep....

I can drink a lot of water and as long as I don't stay up for longer than an hr (watching youtube videos) I'm okay to not wake up again. If I stay up for an hr or so then I'll have to go to the toilet before I go to bed. I drink more water and then I'll go to bed sooner.

Some people wake up easily and others don't. You know your body so try it out and see if you don't have to wake up.
