Last Templar

For those who didn't see it. The opening scene was a group of templars riding into a museum to steal some relics, the cops stand around pointing their guns and not firing at the guys on horses even though they are literally 3 ft away. So the chick who is a knockoff of Indy (only her dialogue is atrocious, she can't act, and Harrison Ford is a more attractive women than she is) jumps on a police horse and chases after the templars.

It only gets worse from there. The kicker, it was 2 hours long and there are 2 more hours tomorrow night! If you like watching train wrecks I would recommend it. NBC at 8pm central IIRC.

SOOOOOOO BAD.

Thanks for the review. lol @ HF part

After seeing the first ad for the movie and hearing the voiceover guy say "the last templuuur", I figured it wouldn't be worth watching.

I was warned away by multiple reviews describing how terrible it was. Still, it's hard to imagine Mira Sorvino coming across as that un-hot.

i might have to check this out, because as you said, i love trainwrecks. i use to watch every sci fi channel movie with my dad and just make fun of them the whole time.

Is this based on the book? The book is great, but hard to see a resemblance, though it has been a while since i read the book.

Watched the first few minutes. Stopped when a bunch of people kept screaming when nothing even happened yet.

I watched the first half last night. I was hoping it would have a National Treasure type feel but was disappointed. Hopefully the second half will be better.

BTW Mira Sorvino is much hotter than Harrison Ford.

The book was pretty good (assuming it's based on the book by the same name), but I'm guessing the miniseries will be horrible.

It's hard enough for a real big budget movie to be true to a good book, so I'm sure a miniseries attempt based on a good book will result in epic failure.

SOOOOOOO BAD.

They were just interviewing her on Mark and Brian. She won an Oscar for something.
Mia Sorvino.

For some reason I found that hilarious. 🙂

My GF recorded it, I'm sure I'll have to sit through it at some point in the next few days. Sounds like I'll have to rip on her for it. 😉

Darn you <shakes fist in air> 🙂

Whoops, typo. Updated now.

The book was horrid. I watched some of the show last night out of morbid curiosity and it was pretty bland.

i had it on in the background last night. All i could remember was Mira Sorvino's character arguing with the guy from the Unit. It was like every other scene

Agreed. Terrible, terrible book. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw commercials for this. When I was reading the book, it read just like a TV movie or miniseries.

Watched the whole episode last night, it has less plot than a history book. Only thing that keeps me watching is the hotter than Harrison Ford chick...

Haven't watched yet. I have it saved on my DVR. Considering the comments, would it be best just to delete it?
