I kept observing things untill they went out of stock, then I was able to breath again, I am glad they went out of stock so I don't spend a fortune on a system that is much more than what I need, very tempting offer though![]()
Yeah, I put it off too thinking I'd wait until they hit $200. I was proud of the restraint I showed. But for a solid chance at a great overclocking chip and being able to still get good resale on my Venice 3000+, I had to go for it.
I use multitrack sequencers and video editors that are highly mutli processor optimized so I will, in fact, feel the difference even outside of multi tasking.
Well good for you for buying something that you would need, but I know alot of ppl are buying these dual core opteron's just so they can say in their sig that they have a $ 400 processor in their rigs, I mean my venice 3000+ @556 FSB is blazing fast I never faced a game that slowed down my system, I really feel sorry for those who purchased it and will most probably not notice a difference due to the fact that most the apps will not notice a $ 200 worthwhile boost, am I wrong ?
