I enjoy her music, yes.
Probably will get shat on for this one but, anyone else find her kewl D:?
I feel Lana Del Rey has less talent than Nicki Minaj. Why, you ask? Because, Nicki didn't have to sleep her way to fame and actually speaks rather intelligently when not putting on her act. Either she has a fantastic act and plays the public well, or is talented enough to pretend to.

Well in Lana's defense, having sex with insiders didn't accomplish anything for her:
You know, I have slept with a lot of guys in the industry, but none of them helped me get my record deals. Which is annoying,
Either terrible in bed or terrible at choosing who to sleep with.
Or maybe she just wants to bang rock stars?
her sex tape is amazing.

i listened to her music it is depressing, self-aggrandizing and pretentious bullshit.
Brooklyn Baby: No specific literary reference here, just the mention of get[ting] down to beat poetry. Presumably Kerouac or Ginsberg. Overall, the general vibe is one of a dilettantetypical of those Brooklyn denizens with vast bookshelves containing many unread books.
Body Electric: Taken from the title of Walt Whitmans poem I Sing the Body Electric, this song is moody and often wistfulin no way a mirror of Whitmans own style and tone
When Lizzy Grant made the name change for the first time she named herself Lana Del Ray with an a, like Man Ray. Ray became Rey fairly quickly following the release of her first album, much to the annoyance of her first record company.
The singer told Vogue the name came when she was frequently visiting Spanish speaking Cuban friends in Miami. Lana Del Rey reminded us of the glamour of the seaside., she said. It sounded gorgeous coming off the tip of the tongue."
Is it normal that after listening to that "song" for 47 seconds that I want to kill myself? She definitely isn't in your generation. Personally, I think this is her best song and the one you would be most likely to have heard: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8waJ7W3QcJc
No. You clearly have a high tolerance. The terrible recording quality was getting to me as soon as the music started. Her voice is not bad, but everything else is.Is it normal that after listening to that "song" for 47 seconds that I want to kill myself?
Thanks, I thought it was just me. I was irritated after a few seconds but I wanted to give it a chance. Once again, ATOT disappoints me. But then, it is Naer.No. You clearly have a high tolerance.
