Lakers Andrew Bynum out for 8-12 weeks

Nooo!!! There goes our championship hopes again! 🙁

Bynum out with torn MCL

I hope he's actually able to return within the speculated time. This is close to what happened last year and he was out for the rest of the season, including playoffs, instead of just 2-3 months.

the championship hopes should have never existed. Lakers will fall apart and Kobe will turn into a cry baby and blame everyone but himself. I grew up a Lakers fan, but Kobe has forced me to stop watching basketball all together. I would love to see a repeat of last years play-offs. I did watch a few games just to see Kobe get his ass handed to him.

coworker bet me lunch that the lakers won't lose 20 games this year. halfway through the season with 9 losses and now Bynum out? looking good for free lunch haha

bynum is never allowed to play the grizzlies ever again.

Wasn't it Kobe that ran into his knee?

yeah, and the first time it was after he landed on odom's foot going for a rebound. still, both injuries were when they played against the grizzlies. someone on that team is probably into voodoo or something and is putting the whammy on him.

Spurs will overtake the west now...after they trade for a big man

they should have done it last year when practically ever team in the west was making moves to get more competitive. Who is on the market this year?

That's a tragedy for the lakers, and personally for bynum. He was playing like an allstar lately, and became the horse inside that they needed. Unbelievable.

This could stretch out to be a 6 month long rehab just like last time. Its not outside of the realm of possibility.

i don't know...spurs just need another big body so duncan can spread out and cut his minutes. Somebody (preferably a vet) cheap - Francisco Elson? Zaza Pachulia? Theo Ratliff? Gadzuric? Maybe Camby (probably not). I say Camby because once Kaman and Randolph come back - one of them should be expendable...doubt it'll happen though.

The Lakers had championship hopes this season?

If they manage to win the west they'll still have to play either the Celts, Cavs, or Magic in the finals. It's highly doubtful they can best any of those teams in 7, Bynum or not.

LOL. If you are insinuating that the eastern conference is better than the western conference, then you are crazy.

Wouldn't it be nice if you only had 3 legitimate teams in your conference? This fact alone raises the a lot of concerns about how good these teams really are.

The Suns are in 8th place in the western conference, with the Utah Jazz right behind them in 9th place.

Milwaukee is 8th place in the eastern conference, with the NEW YORK KNICKS behind them in 9th! If that doesnt give you EPIC LULZ, I dunno what does. Seriously, that is some funny shit.
