Lair and HS are popcorn games. Just special effects showcases. You said it yourself - its shallow. For many people, thats enough. For some people, notably critics, it isnt.
(bolded mine)
Please check your facts, before posting. You are wrong. Ive already proven that critics/reviewers gave HS great reviews.

no I didn't. It was stated that games are where movies were 10 years ago, in special effects. It is you who missed the point.

Sony sent out a Lair's Reviewer's Guide (http://ps3.ign.com/articles/818/818597p1.html) full of helpful hints for reviewers on how to play Lair.

Sure, and HS is doing quite better than Lair, because from all accounts, unlike Lair, its actually playable more than frustrating. But by and large, there is near unanimous agreement, including the OP, that HS is shallow and simplistic, and I've read several reviews that say "Just rent it". That doesnt make it a bad game, but rather a bad purchase.

edit, there are tons of equally/better looking games than toy story out right now.

The OP doesnt have the game, nor does anyone here. You cant review a game, with a 5 minute demo.
Feel free to show me the "several reviews" that say to "just rent it". Ive already linked more than a dozen reviews that gave it very high scores.

fight night round 3 pwns toy story. Maybe not in animations (small things that can only be tweaked in a movie) but damn that games looks real from far. Not far from real.

If it was as easy for me to link those reviews that say you should rent it as it is to link the entire lot, I'd do it, but I just dont care enough about the topic to bother.

Negative. You cant, because there are not several.
Once more, someone saying something to help their agenda, and cant back it up.

HAH. Not that they could make anything look real back then. IT's easier to work with animations that look like that.

Well, can you please explain to me what my agenda is then?
I thought I was just posting out of boredom on a message board, but apparently my lack of inclination to deeply research a post made in passing is giving you the impression that I'm a subversive agent sent to destroy something you hold dear to your heart.
I assure you thats not the case. You wanna claim victory or something? Be my guest. Theres just no need to be such a dick about it.
