I didn't bother to listen to the entire thing.

I don't get the hoopla over it. Who cares? He's fat and disgusting, he owns a franchise that doesn't matter, and I haven't cared about the NBA in years.

He said some stupid stuff. I could care less either way what happens to him. How did this get to 12 pages?

It got to 12 pages b/c you are a noob who only shows like 20 posts per page. Try upping that to 100 per page and it's a lot fewer pages.

Because the nfl draft got pushed back. As soon as the draft comes around this story will be dead.

Of course you do! Your personal challenge is to look deep within yourself and find out why.

You are the one who can't form an argument without all the ad hominems and rhetoric.

Please take your own advice. Maybe someone will use your own standard to strip you of your duties, based on all the trash you post here.

It's official, you're a brain-dead idiot living in the Fox News Soviet Russia of your socially and politically stunted mind.

Why don't you try comprehending waht xkcd is trying to tell stupidly shallow jamokes like you?

This was just in the last fifteen minutes. lol?

Just saying they'll get the votes doesn't actually make it happen. At some point each of the owners will be voting for whether they could be actioned as such, and that is not going to be a pushover vote.

I am curious but I wasn't able to find a definite answer searching, does anyone know who actually is the Board of Governors for the NBA? Is it just every owner or are there any other members?

I still find it surreal a current nba owner didn't want his girlfriend to post pictures on the net of her with a black person (even an nba legend like magic johnson) or bring any black people to the game. This is sh!t you'd expect from before the civil rights era. The league will be better without this guy (how much remains to be seen.)

I just find the Outrage and the NAACP deciding to pull his award only after this recording a bit ironic don't you think?

No outrage before, and I guess the NAACP was okay with his racist actions in the past.

Racism is okay as long as it is in the downlow and the money/donations are flowing then everyone is willing to look away.

And while a handful of us in the media excoriated Sterling and the NBA in 2009 when Sterling settled the lawsuit by agreeing to pay $2.73m following allegations he refused to rent apartments to Hispanics, blacks and families with children, the story didn't resonate – despite it being the largest housing discrimination settlement in Justice Department history.

Exactly. They just have to assume that everything they say is being recorded and have their political correctness game face on at all times. One slip of a non pc word, like "retard" or "illegal immigrant" and it's goodbye to their franchise ownership.

I think people underestimate the power of the commissioner, not to mention how much the franchises need the support of the nba for a wide variety of issues (player and contract issues, trying to get a new stadium, trying to move the team, lawsuits, and a ton more that goes well beyond what I have a clue about.../edit: labor issues, a huge one) So it's generally considered not wise to sh!t on the residing godfather of the league.

Will voting record be public? I'm guessing not...

Thats not what he was posting about.

Hence the "One slip of a non pc word" You say one wrong thing and can lose ownership of your team.

Dont you see the Irony? Actual racist actions had no cost when it came to the NBA franchise and NAACP support.

But one non PC word, The outrage machine kicks in.

If I recall the NBA did not have a problem with that. It was the stuff that was recorded by the gold digger that they had an issue with.

Underestimate the power of the commisioner?

You mean the person whom essentially hold a job at the liesure of the owners, and in one of the leagues has a power to perform unilateral actions for the betterment of the game and won't come within a 1000 yards of doing such because of how it could impact the owners.

Make a big enough "donation" and all wrongs will be forgiven. It's the American way.

This sale will probably generate more cash than he's ever had in his life.
