I still find it surreal a current nba owner didn't want his girlfriend to post pictures on the net of her with a black person (even an nba legend like magic johnson) or bring any black people to the game. I think people underestimate the power of the commissioner, not to mention how much the franchises need the support of the nba for a wide variety of issues (player and contract issues, trying to get a new stadium, trying to move the team, lawsuits, and a ton more that goes well beyond what I have a clue about.../edit: labor issues, a huge one) So it's generally considered not wise to sh!t on the residing godfather of the league.
