Some investigative journalist (for instance someone at the fine and reputable organization TMZ) needs to use the same gestapo-like tactics to finally determine whether David Stern truly did fix the 1985 NBA Draft, speaking of skeletons.

Perhaps they figure an older man in his eighties will go down without a fight. If we're going to make private conversations fodder for entertainment, might as well not stop there. I'm suddenly rooting for this old bigot. :)

Dude is worth $1.9 billion.

OMG, he has to sell his NBA franchise which he bought for $11 million for a measly...$500 million profit.

CUE OUTRAGE.

while true. i don't think the man should be forced o sell HIS nba franchise over a private conversation.

I imagine 100% of owners would echo Cuban's sentiment. Any threat to their sovereignty would set a very bad precedent for them.

Uhhhh, nope.

I agree 100% with Commissioner Silvers findings and the actions taken against Donald Sterling

Yeah that part is kind of weird to me. Pretty much any organization from the largest to the smallest reserves the right to expel members for violating whatever codes of conduct they may have, but when it comes to ownership of something I'm not sure what's legal. I wouldn't be surprised if the procedure in case of such an eventuality is buried somewhere in the paperwork owners have to sign to be part of the league though.

Uhhhh, nope.

He's gone from "slippery slope" to "100% agree" in just hours. If Cuban doesn't have the ballz to question a forced sale any more, no one else will.

He also just tweeted nba owners have all banded together to have a "Bring a Black Guy to the Game" night next season, serving free watermelon at halftime. No one can argue these owners don't get it.

The league determined that he violated the bylaws that he agreed to abide by. Ownership of a sports franchise doesn't give you authority to do whatever you want; you still have to meet the guidelines and standards set forth by the league you operate the franchise in.

The Nba can also reject any prospective buyer, regardless of how much they are willing to pay for a franchise. So don't look for little Wheezer Sterling IV to suddenly come up with $600m to buy the clippers - the league wouldn't let the transaction close.

Good thing when OJ killed 2 people and was set free by a majority of black jurors, that race wasn't involved.

I just did a some light reading on this and thought of something interesting. Everyone thinks that the mistress, V. Sitiavno, recorded the conversations but it could have actually been Donald Sterling's wife who recorded and leaked the tape recordings though the use of a private investigator. The wife was suing V. Sitiavno because V. Sitiavno was receiving lavish gifts including money, a place to stay, and accompanied Donald to the games. I don't see any reason why the mistress, V. Sitiavno, would rat him out because she stands to lose a lot.

Edit:
Nevermind. Just read an article that she admitted to recording them. :D

It does seem really strange that the mistress would leak these.
Was it the wife?

What does the mistress have to gain? Spite seems unlikely, but could be the reason.
I don't see how she could get anything from a civil suit.

Vivian Stiviano looks extremely hot in some pictures and then ugly in others.

I am confused.

She's definitely had plastic surgery.

Looks fairly disgusting.

What little I heard on the call, where she plaintively says, "why don't you like minorities, what's wrong with them" makes it fairly obvious that she is recording the call and is leading him on to say stupid things.

The more I think about it the more it looks like a setup to me. Why would she leak the tape? She is getting millions just to be with the guy. I guess someone payed more.

She's currently being sued by his wife for stealing millions, so, no, she isn't getting paid to be with him (anymore).
