I think the "anything can happen" referred to the barfing, I didn't hear her mention anything about pregnancy, though in all fairness I was laughing quite a bit, so I didn't catch everything she said

I don't think it was entirely a shock. Right when she's answering "ya hello," the way she blinks and swallows makes it look like there's a bit of discomfort. Then at about 7 seconds, her voice wavers a bit, it looks like her throat clenched up a little, and her expression changes slightly.

I think she knew it was coming, but since she had to keep talking, she wasn't nearly as able to keep it under control. Maybe she just figured it'd be easier to keep it down. I guess sometimes the stomach has already made up its mind, and won't negotiate.
