Kushner left more than 100 names off his thrice amended security clearance form

While Donald Trump Jr. has been on the firing line, the meeting with Ms. Veselnitskaya could arguably be a bigger distraction for Mr. Kushner. As a senior adviser to the president, he is involved in several of the administration’s most sensitive foreign-policy issues, from China to the Middle East peace process. His involvement in the meeting led reporters to ask the White House whether he still held his security clearance.

Also under scrutiny is how forthcoming Mr. Kushner was with his father-in-law about the nature of the June meeting. He met with Mr. Trump to discuss the issue, according to advisers to the White House, around the time he updated his federal disclosure form to include Ms. Veselnitskaya’s name on a list of foreign contacts that Mr. Kushner was required to submit to the F.B.I. to obtain a security clearance.

Mr. Kushner supplemented the list of foreign contacts three times, adding more than 100 names, people close to him said.

Mr. Kushner played down the significance of the meeting and omitted significant details, according to two people who were briefed on the exchange. They said Mr. Kushner informed the president that he had met with a Russian foreign national, and that while he had to report the name, it would not cause a problem for the administration.

This person should not only be denied a security clearance they'd be fired if their entire reason for having the job in the first place wasn't naked nepotism.

So Don Jr. is being subpoenaed to testify in front of the Senate panel in open session next week, as is Paul Manafort...but no word on Kushner? Has any Republican even weighed in on whether Kushner loses his security clearance?

The whole thing is pretty amazing. These guys normally operate above the law, or at least outside of it. I'm sure it never occurred to them that anything the Russians could have offered would have been illegally obtained as acts of espionage. Collusion with foreign govts & their proxies is apparently something they do quite regularly.

It's just business, I wouldn't worry about it.

Funny how zero of the people, on this forum, calling for Hillary to lose her security clearance have bothered to chime in here.

I'm starting to wonder if the two notoriously anti Clinton and pro Trump guys were Russian trolls that hijacked an inactive account.
Simply weird how they were posting 24/7 up to the election then disappeared a couple days after the election.

Nah, at least in terms of Legendkiller his posting style was exactly the same sort of douchey bravado he's always had.

He still has his clearance, and nobody is taking it away as long as Furor Dump rules this land with his gesticulating iron fists.

People are going to have to make things way, way more difficult for GOP congressman and senators before they lift one finger to defend this country.

For the record both probably deserve to have their clearances revoked.

Funny that you see equivalency between a seasoned politician who should have known better and the entitled son-in law of a President elected largely to break and destroy the very institutions that allow our society to function.

Also funny how none are turning a critical eye towards the Obama administration, crippled from countering what is increasingly looking like an act of war in favor of projecting impartiality so as to not undermine the inevitability of "her turn". Look how that worked out.

Trump is a pawn and a useful idiot.
