Agreed.

Going out to the local Farmer's Market is the only way to go for me. Fruits and veggies taste so much better when they're farm-fresh. I'm glad we have a great selection of farmer's markets in my area.

MAdison has an awesome farmer's market. The produce and fruit last for weeks. We buy eggs, meat, fruit, veggies, cut flowers, donuts, bread, cheese there every saturday as we stroll around the capital square.

There's a weekly farmers' market here in Ann Arbor - problem is that parking sucks (it's downtown). I'm also betting that the fruit is really expensive there. I can get blueberries (my FAVORITE fruit) for $0.99/pint in the supermarket. How much would they cost somewhere else?

michigan... you should have fresh blueberries coming out the yahoo.

The growing season may be short, but you should be able to more than just cabbage and eggplant and corn! Go to your farmers market or drive out til you find a road side stand.

Nor will anything be done if they do. It's Kroger, a national chain, and therefore not going anywhere.

I always go Krogering for my weekly shopping, but I will admit their produce generally sucks. Hell, my local Krogers (Texas) hasn't had pears for weeks, yet the Super Walmart up the road has them. Where the hell are my pears, Krogers??? :|
