Fascinating game. Just played both games a month ago. And I'll probably play them again in a few years. Too bad that non sci-fi fantasy is the mainstream. I'm sick of all those axes, swords, maces and flails. Ok, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale and the NWN series are all good. But the market is basically flooded with medieval fantasy. And OMG, what I hate the most: cyberpunk. Magic and sci-fi. Worst ever.

Strangely enough I felt bad when I killed the good chars who stood by me until the end. Unfortunate, but the lesson had to be learned. They just couldn't grasp how powerful the Dark Side is. They couldn't understand the Power that comes with it. They couldn't appreciate the hidden beauty.

Oh, it's not vaporware. It's just never going to be finished at the rate they're going. And as far as the "restoration" part goes, you should just go ahead and play the game as-is. I've played the beta and I know that it's just a mod that more talented and dedicated people could have finished in half the time. I assure you that, with the notable exception of the HK Factory, you won't be missing much by not waiting. It's hardly the Second Coming of KotOR2 because it adds almost nothing to Avellone's story.

Just don't expect the story to be anything like KotOR1's. I know that you're a fan of PST (as am I) and I know that you'll love it. It's very un-Star Warsy.

KOTOR yes is awesome,you know the very sad thing about KOTOR series?..if any games were crying out for expansion pack add-ons then it was KOTOR/KOTOR2,I still wonder now why they never bothered with any exp packs for these two games,shame really.

KOTOR2 exp pack could of added so much more to the main game and finished off the ending better.
