I didn't know there was a sequel. I wonder how the plot picks up after Sauron is destroyed at the end of ROTK???

since kotor sucked, i think ill pass on this.

i just can't get into RPG's anymore. gimmie the old school FF's on NES or dragon quest, but these new ones just are crap.

The fact that you limit yourself to 8-bit top-down RPGs does not make KOTOR suck.
 
I wont be buying it until it hits the cheap bin. I've got too many other games on the plate.

I'd buy it right away if it came out for the pc... probably will when it comes out for the pc

I'll snag it as soon as it comes out on the PC. KotOR has been the funnest PC game I've played in a *long* time. But I guess it had to be, as buggy and crash-prone as it was. If it had been any other game, I would have given up on it after the first day. As it was, I put up with crashes every 20-30 minutes for the 3 weeks or so I played until I finshed it. I wouldn't have done that with *any* other game.

Hopefully, the second one fixes some of those issues. The gameplay looks awesome as well.
 
Wow, I haven't followed the dev of this one at all and now its out :Q :Q

I'll probably be picking this one up 🙂
 
good game so far. i'm not giving anything away, but they tie in the first game nicely.

however, there will be no downloadable content at all after the last game's debacle.

who said i limited myself to them? i'm simply stating i liked the old RPG games better than the new ones. new ones have too much fluff to them. i actually tried kotor for about 2 hours and just did not like it. so i added that i don't care for the new type RPG's anyways. now a days they are all about graphics and moves (FFX for example) that take 2 minutes to execute. i hate that stuff, i would rather the move take 5 seconds and get on with my battle. i like to play my games, not watch them.

I guess I was lucky then, I did have a few crashes but nowhere near that many. Still enough to make sure I saved frequently though.

I would think that any game that you're genuinely interested in playing would have to have your attention for at least 1~2 hours - esp. the 8-bit era RPGs - you had to do petty quests until you were leveled up higher enough to do the cool things . . .. I think you didn't give the original KOTOR a chance.

should have given it more chance. the game starts really slow and uninteresting but it changes drastically soon.
 
well sorr, but i don't like playing a boring game for 5 hours until it starts to get fun. usually i will give a game a chance for like 30 minutes if that. i gave this one longer because of the hype. i did the same with Fable. Neither of these games could keep me interested at all. I'm gonna try the 2nd one though to see how i like it, just to give it a chance. but probably, i'll end up playing halo 2 on xbox live after an hour of KOTOR2 🙂.

I agree with you about the newer FF games, but KOTOR is definitely not an offender in that department. I just made sure the subtitles were on and clicked through most of the conversations as fast as I could read them.
You might consider giving KOTOR another chance if you didn't make it to the point where you become a Jedi (and a little past that).
