He's at least 13 in all of his videos.

He's not that young AND this shit is entirely possible with parents pushing for it. He's only a prodigy if he somehow shows some miraculous talent with such little effort AND can go far with it.

You know, I don't post in here very often but I feel compelled after reading your shitty comment. You just can't be happy with anything can you? If you review his You Tube videos he starts out pretty damn young.

You are never happy with yourself and you can't just cut this kid some slack and be happy for him. he certainly seems happy enough and is obviously very talented being happy at the same time.

Your shitting attitude towards everything is going to ruin your life. You are going to wake up one day and be 50 years old and will have bitched about every conceivable thing on earth with nothing to show for it. Go get laid or whack off...whatever works and makes you shut the fuck up.

There are better ways to seek attention than on an internet forum.😡

And people say that Asian parenting fails...

One of the comments on one of the videos:

@dayingyang0 um no. Sungha has plenty of friends, fyi. And honestly, he's only obligated to practice an hour or two a day and professional guitarists who have less work than he does (i.e he has personal concerts, national tours, etc, etc) can practice up to several times that amount daily. Plus, Sungha started playing on his own- his mother/grandmother even disapproved of his constant playing initially, so it'd be a stretch his family pushed the guitar on him.

Is it really a prodigy when he's asian?

Seems like that should disqualify them.

Stereotype much?, so this kid flew out of the womb with this much talent?, me thinks it had a lot to do with practicing instead of watching TV or playing games, ect.

I'm pretty sure I've seen kids of around that age who displayed superior technical skill and who did it playing songs they wrote themselves. Still, he played that perfectly and it sounded beautiful on that guitar.

I think he was around 10-11 when that song was posted and I haven't seen anyone that age writing their own music, let alone play as fluently as he does. I guess it's possible though, what's impressive is he has like 375 songs on YT..

I want to have your babies.

Look at where you stand and what you have accomplished in your lifetime before you start shitting on him.

He is technically very proficient, but he does look like a robot and emotionless in almost all his videos. You can attribute that to his young age.

What he lacks is showmanship. But he will acquire that with age and experience given time.

There are a few videos on his account where he plays live, but he never seem able to put emotion or energy in the music or the crowd. This contrasts to more experienced guitarists. Here's an example by Dadi and Lalanne:

Its technically proficient I'll give it that but it lacks something

Showmanship?, who gives a crap, I'm to busy enjoying his music and his amazing abilities to notice. Could be he's just a shy young man..

I would call her a prodigy for sure, not sure about guitar guy who is very talented, but needs to create his own stuff before I would call him a true prodigy
