Kootra from the Creatures gets arrested during live Twitch stream

Kootra handled himself pretty decently at least. He was calm and collected and knew exactly what was happening as they entered the room, no sudden movements and hands in sight.
 
Those who pull prank calls like that should have the book thrown at them. Problem is that it's all too easy to make those calls and remain anonymous. I can't really blame the cops too much though as it may not always be easy to just disregard the call as a prank.

Ya, he's a level headed guy. What a fucking thing to do to a person though, he'll probably need a few days to get over it.

Definitely. Cops were doing their jobs best as they could, based on the information they had.

Yeah, really sucks about the address being public though, they JUST moved into that office and had worked very hard so far to keep the address private so as to avoid pranks like this, or someone ordering them 50 pizzas and other stupidities. This may cause them to relocate again which is a big pain in the ass.
 
Nice how the SWAT team immediately tried to turn off the camera, as soon as they found out its on. :whiste:

Indeed. Not to mention that Landlords are going to be leery about Leasing to them.

That response is warranted with no evidence or corroboration? Just an anonymous phone call.
I'd hardly say that was the police doing their best. There didn't seem to be much work put in to seeing if that response was necessary.

Depends on what was said. If the call was about shots being fired, they don't have time to diddle about.
 
I'm all for the cops but those guys did so much wrong. Looking through his phone, messing with this computer. You're job is to assess the situation and make sure things are safe and secure.

When did common sense go out the window?
 
I hope the person that made the call is unable to resist bragging about it.
Fine him the cost of the raid, plus the remainder of the lease on that space.

Fine him? Jail time for making false statements; people can get shot in these sort of things.

True,

But what would your response be if they didn't go to his house and the call was legit. Imagine if he had kidnapped a little girl, she escaped and told the media about her ordeal. Then it was found out that a call was placed anonymously, but the police didn't respond because they thought it was a prank.

I can bet you'd be on Anandtech saying "These cops are no good! They make a lot of money and they dropped the ball!! They should all be fired, etc..)

I can't think of a lot of realistic scenarios that justify storming a building full of peaceful inhabitants and tieing them up at gunpoint on no evidence.
