Anyone bought from expresscameras?

This guy had had a bad experience with them, where they tried to tack on the rebate amount to his order, so he would have to pay the price plus the rebate amount.

Has anyone actually ordered the 4800 from them for $459 BEFORE the rebate?

I went the safe route. I ordered from PhotoAlley with Amex Blue. That way I don't have to deal with this crap. Besides, if the site says $459, Amex should accept that. I have not tried, because Beach Camera was $462 and I am not going to quibble over $3. Wish I had waited though because it sounds like PM at Staples with a good coupon is the best out their so far.
 
Just talked to Staples!

Do any of you know if the $40 off 200" is in store? ANY way I can get this from someone, if it does? They now say the WILL match web prices...but they want to include shipping!

So far best I have seen is Digital E-tailer and Dealsondigital. They are $467+9.95+ onn shipping. I am afraid Staples wants the OVERNIGHT shipping rate!! Still, if I can get a $40 coupon....
 
But Sears WAS (not sure if it is still on) 10% off certain items (of which this was one) 10% of 460 is more than $40 coupon at staples
 
OK, Sears here does not have the DC4800. They say they have a DC4300.

Anyway, can anyone e-mail me the Staples $40 off $200???

I was in Sears last week.
They match the price, $460, but they won't give me extra 10%.
This Sears store is in UTC, San Diego.

madalien Thanks again for finding that 460 price !! Heck 7.00 bucks is 7 bucks back for 14 day price protection. Whew... just made it ! I applied towards the 24.90 for current 250 meg zip drive deal going on now.

OK...back from Staples. I would like to thank the 3 persons whe PM'ed me. THANKS AGAIN!

Got PM to $460+$10 shipping. I was not going to argue, even though their catalog says free shipping over $50. Manager said they were matching web deal...not Staples deal.

Final price $470...but wait...I sprang the $40 off $200 email on them and walked out at $430-$100 rebate will be $330.

That has to be great for a 3MP camera.

Now, we need good CF card (and maybe reader) deal.
