I found the review that BlueApple was reffering to,
3200 review

I have played around with it a little more and man does it suck batteries, but I guess all digital cameras do.
Yes it takes CompactFlash cards up to 192mb but I could not imagine needing that much...you'd need 40 batteries to take that many pics lol.

Yes it uses a serial connection which is pretty slow, about 3min for 20 'good' pictures.
good is 576x432 in low compression (all you will ever need for web pics)
better is 1152x864 in high compression
best is 1152x864 in low compression

On board memory is 2mb , 22 good pics, 9 better pics or 5 best pics (the outdoor shot was in best so you can see that its much too large for regular web use)

The features are good. But for 60 bux it is worth it. I got a 64MB CF card and a CF card reader from New Egg for like 40 or 50 bucks shipped (cant remember the price). Also Ikea has 10 AA batteries for $2, so last time I was there I got 50 batteries for $10. They use to be 10 for a dollar, but it?s still a great deal.

The only Kodak digital cameras I have seen that have a lens cap are the ones with Optical zoom. My DX3600 has optical zoom, and I picked that model due to it having a lens cap. The way I am, one with out a lens cap would be scratched, broken, or gooey from carbonated drinks in no time.

<< My biggest complaint is that I want to know what genius manager at Kodak decided to ship this camera without a freaking lens cap. Or maybe they are trying to say the lens isn't worth a lens cap. :Q >>

I paid almost $1,000.00 for my Nikon some years back and it didn't come with a lens cap and it has a Nikor lens! You should have seen the fuss about that on the Internet!

Re: the HP215 v DC3200. The color and exposure is much better on the Kodak, but the pictures are softer than the HPOS.

I picked up the camera from my local Skokie BB. Salesman said that there were only 2 left. He though that the camera couldn't use a 128 meg card. I guess he was wrong.
Target had 4Energizer AA NIMH batteries complete with a charger on clearance for $16.90. .<---HOT DEAL

The batteries alone cost $12.00 Sounds from you guys I need rechargeables to use this camera without going broke on batteries.

Where's a good place to get the cf memory cards and reader?

Viking says that their compactflash memory cards up to 512mb will fit this camera. Would be little overkill though. I bought a DC3200 today at CC. Not bad photos at all. I tested it outside, inside, close up and far away, with flash and without. Looks good to me. In the highest mode it will take 6 shots. I will probably buy a flash card and reader to go with it. It would be a great little camera for everyday photos.

If you need lens cap for this camera call 1-800-431-7278 ( Kodak parts department) and ask for part #1E5957.
They sent it to me FREE. Couldn't find it anywhere else.

I just called the 800 number for Free lens cap, CSR said, $2.57 each plus shipping. Is this over, or just keep trying til I get a generous CRS?

BentValve, your pictures of the apple trees reminded me why I left Michigan to move to CA! My CA apple trees already have leaves on them.

I called, the guy said they ship them out for free, mine is on the way. Call and get someone else, it's still a good deal.
