I liked the plane crash scene and LOVED the way the world ended. I always imagined it would be a "solar killshot" that would bring an end to life on Earth.

Maybe I'm alone, but I actually liked the ending. Loved how they merged the the christian theory of Adam & Eve with the theory alien intervention. (Aliens looked like angels and the children ran towards the "tree of life")

Yeah my thoughts exactly. The subway scene was insane.

This was no Academy Award winner, but it kept me entertained. I'm usually highly critical of films...but there is just some times that I have to say screw it and just enjoy the movie for what it is.

Nicolas Cage = teh fail

Thanks anyways 😛

i share this opinion. mostly the guy is a terrible actor in craptastic movies.

I liked the movie... I wouldn't rave about it, but I was entertained by it.

It seems as a general rule if people on ATOT absolutely loathe a movie, I'll like it (this movie and a bunch of others). If it's 50/50 on ATOT, I'll LOVE IT (watchmen). If it's universally loved, I'll think it's ok (district 9).

80% of this movie was really good, the last 20% sucked. My wife and I were totally into the movie until the alien stuff started.

This movie was definitely horrible. The ending kind of reminded me of the last Indiana Jones. The writers went "We'll just explain it all with ALIENS! Voila!".

Another craptastical movie to stay away from, "The Soloist". Jaimie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr, both top notch actors. The plot had the potential to be really good. It just didn't jive though. I kept waiting for the movie to really get going and every time it felt like it was about to go some where, it just fizzled out.

Dude, as movies go Knowing was average at best but not as horrible as you make it out to be. I've seen WAY worse movies in the grand scheme of things.

The plot to this movie didn't make sense in that it couldn't decide what it was about. What was this movie about? According to the trailers and previews, its about a guy who discovers the way to tell the future in regard to disasters and one would presume, sets out to stop them. So basically, its like that show Early Edition without the Plague from Hackers in it. Ok, thats fine.

And then all of a sudden its about aliens and the planet blowing up. The "Hero" doesn't save anyone or accomplish anything, he just flails about generally acting like a total idiot until Aliens show up. The aliens are also Angels. Or maybe Ayrans. And since the whole movie was apparently about Nick Cage jerking off over some time capsule stuff and doing nothing for 2 hours followed by a 10 minute "It was all a dream/waste of viewers time" at the end. If you want the movie to be about aliens, thats fine...make a movie about aliens. Don't make a movie about a clairvoain't.

Oh, and wasn't it great how even when the planet was collapsing he some how still managed to find room to drive his SUV through the chaos? You couldn't even do that during your average rush hour much less the one caused by the end of the world. And what exactly were those looters planning on doing with their loot? Ducking under it while they burned to death?
