For some reason I think the guy who did the kicking would get the most punishment. Our justice system is so twisted that common sense and common decency do not come into play.
He came to the aid of the woman. This is not considered by the law and can't matter, because he was not in danger. He attacked the guy when he had no reason to in the eyes of the law. This is a nation of individuals and fuck everyone else. He was supposed to let the woman get the living shit kicked out of her because that's America.
He fled the scene because he knew that although his actions may have been justifiable, they were also purely criminal with no recourse for defense. You are not permitted to protect others in America, you are only permitted to protect yourself and your family. You must let everyone else get fucked and die in a gutter or else face punishment from the law.

Wait, they are just all reports? That the video is just crap?

The knock out game isn't a racial thing as you seem to want to portray. The video clearly shows a black young man trying to randomly knock out a *gasp* black young woman. The man that came to her rescue was *gasp* a white man.

The "myth" of the knock out game is that it's people that somehow think there is a racial connection. There may be for some perpetrators of the "game" but that's not the game. The game is bored young MEN randomly selecting a person to try to knock out with a single punch as they run by. Something that can be quite clearly seen in the video. Along with several others on youtube.

As for epidemic? Probably not. More than likely no more than other stupid young male "gang" violence crap of which this has no real gang association and the driving factor for the motivation more than likely comes from social media "peers" than gang members.
