Making me wish I was born later... I bought a ton of the cheap-shit plastic mid-90s Star Wars toys. The vehicles all had problems like loose parts and bad connections. Worst of all, some used batteries and guess which kid forgot to take them out and had them leak. LEGO wouldn't have screwed me over like that.

Realizing that kids were not the only market was what helped Lego climb out of the hole in the first place, so I would disagree that kids not being interested is a sign of decline.

The LEGO Robotic league, in conjunction with FIRST probably didn't hurt much either.
