Klipsch Promedia 5.1 $199.99

dang i can't do local pickup. shippin is $40. 🙁 kills the deal.

mwave.com has z-5500 for 199+tax. z-5500 has optical for ps2, xbox...etc

dang... I settled for some Z-5500s a few months ago. Didin't think the Klipsch PM Ultra would come down to this.

I read on a number of forums that the Subs in the ProMedia series were having alot of problems with customers regularly RMA-ing for repair. Anyway, still HOT

There were number of issues with the Sub on the older models (the regular 5.1) but supposedly fixed in the relatively newer wave...I still have my promedia 5.1s and I love them and going strong after 5 years!!

Whoa... amazing deal. However, for my dorm next year I'm getting 4 polk audio r30s, an unknown center channel at this point, and an SVS-PB10 ISD sub. However, this is for the "theater" part of our room and I'm having trouble not getting these for my computer 😛

Edit: Just need to sell my 4.1 (OOOLLLD School 4.1s, but work like a dream) for $125... I have the rest of the money in GC 🙂 Anyone want to buy?

Would this be good for music? I teach ballroom dancing and need to fill a room that is 40 x 60. Would these be portable enough and hold up to movement.

TIA

i placed an order but then cancel it because of the high failure rate mentioned by uses on newegg. Unless the latest batch of Ultra 5.1 have their quality issues worked out, i would only order them with some kind of extended warranty plan.
