This is what Sherman was referring to:

Crabtree was asked if Seattle's All-Pro, Richard Sherman, was the best cornerback in football.

“I don’t think so,” the 49ers receiver said of the NFL's leader with eight interceptions in the 2013 regular season. “I know nothing about the best cornerbacks in the league, I just know teams. We’re playing the Seattle Seahawks and hopefully we come (away) with a win. We’re going hard.”

The Seahawks didn't win because of the blown call. They won because Colin Kaepernick threw two interceptions.

Yup. Two poor decisions plus the fumble. Gotta get ready for the next season now. Looking forward already.

I'm bitter but we got beat by a team playing better defense.

That said, go Broncos. I can't root for a team like the Seahawks after their fans threw Skittles when Bowman was being carted off. And Sherman is a grade A douchebag.

Great game! Was almost marred by the refs horrible miss of that turnover, where they guy broke his leg but still held on to the ball. Everyone knew that was a turnover but the officials. If Seattle scores on that next play, the whole game is tainted, but the refs really really really lucked out and SF ended up with the ball the next play anyways. Whew. Anyways, glad the game turned out to be won fair and square.

You forgot the missed call of "running into the kicker" when it should have been "roughing the kicker". The drive should have been kept alive after the penalty. Instead the ball was turned over to the Seahawks which allowed them to score on the possession and take the lead.

I would pay good $$ to have seen Erin Andrews do this to Sherman:

Is Sherman the "new" Terrell Owens or the real deal?

Depends on what you mean by the "new Terrell Owens". Are you referring to his mouth and talk being bigger than his performance?

I don't think so, but admittedly I am a Seahawks homer. Sherman is actually a very smart and calculating person. The WR's he covered were thrown to the least in the league, yet he still led the league in INT's. That says something right there.

I understand why some people think he is merely a mouthy punk, but I do believe there is a method to his madness.

SF vs Seattle was pretty intense. I saw a little bit of Kaep's press conference on our local 49er station. I always assumed he didn't see the dbs on some of his risky pass attempts, but it seems he actually does and just has supreme confidence in his skills. On his first int, he said he saw the db and just didnt think he could get it. And he's not just talking crap, because the exact same play came up on the last drive and he did the same thing, and it was successful. On his last int, he saw Crabtree with single coverage and just said he was going to him. I think in both cases if he was playing against a different team with regular sized dbs, he would have made completions. Anyways, I dont think people should be too hard on him. Confidence can be managed. If he doesnt run for 130 yards I dont think SF scores at all.

This should be a great Superbowl. Manning is going to have to get the ball out so quick to avoid Seattle's pass rush, but Seattle only uses 4 guys so they should be able to cover Denver's receivers. An old school AFC West Superbowl!

We'll see if Sherman can backup his talk just one more time against Demaryius Thomas in the Super Bowl. Hopefully nobody on the Broncos give Sherman any bulletin board material like saying that he's got the best hands in the game or whatever...

Did you just learn about TO after he got cut from the Cowboys or something?

That was a great ending to that game. I am pretty sure if Sherman didn't make that deflection, Crabtree had a good chance of bringing it down.

I don't mind him popping off after the game. I am sure they were talking shit the entire game to each other. It isn't like Crabtree is a nice guy.

The Superbowl is going to be real interesting. Best secondary against the best passing game.

"He wouldn't make the top 20 of NFL receivers," Sherman said. "If any team had a chance to pick Crabtree, they wouldn't draft him."

After the interception, Sherman ran over to Crabtree and patted him on the rear and said something. Crabtree pushed Sherman in the facemask.

"I was making sure everyone knew Crabtree was a mediocre receiver," Sherman said. "And when you try the best corner in the game with a mediocre receiver, that's what happens. I appreciate that he knows that now. There has been a lot of talk from him running his mouth about me."

Crabtree then tweets:
Film don't lie... @nflnetwork @espn pull up the tape of that game and show me where this guy is the best? #fake #fake #fake
11:18 PM - 19 Jan 2014

Sherman replies:
A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of a sheep.
12:08 AM - 20 Jan 2014

Lol. I do agree with Sherman that Crabtree isn't in the top 20 receivers, he's not even the best receiver on his team (V.Davis or Boldin are better).

For straight Coverage rankings (not including defending the rush), here is the top 10 by PFF:
1 Brandon Boykin PHI 635 9.1 -3.4 14.3 -3.5 1.7 4-0 0 2 3
2 Vontae Davis IND 951 15.5 0.0 12.8 -1.0 3.7 6-0 0 0 0
3 Brent Grimes MIA 1132 16.4 -0.1 12.0 -0.5 5.0 2-0 0 1 2
4 Darrelle Revis TB 972 18.2 0.4 11.3 2.1 4.4 1-0 1 0 0
5 Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie DEN 787 13.0 -0.1 11.0 -1.4 3.5 5-0 0
6 Richard Sherman SEA 1003 12.4 0.1 8.8 1.1 2.4 9-0 0 1 2
7 Leodis McKelvin BUF 947 8.6 -0.1 8.7 -4.2 4.2 3-0 0 0 0
8 Desmond Trufant ATL 1022 12.2 -0.7 8.3 1.2 3.4 7-1 0 0 1
9 Tramaine Brock SF 678 9.0 0.0 8.2 -1.1 1.9 1-0 0 0 0
10 Byron Maxwell SEA 494 9.3 0.0 7.9 -0.8 2.2 5

Sherman finished 6th at +8.8. Yeah, he did great this year but not quite the best like he's chirping.

Speaking of Sherman, anyone else notice how he will help the WR up if Sherman was burnt for a TD? I have seen this several times this year, he gives the WR a hand to help him up, pat him on the ass and say something like "you got me this time bro".

Again, I can easily see why people think he is nothing but a punk but if you dig a little deeper you notice thins like I mentioned above. Probably the type of player you love if he is on your team, but love to hate if he isn't on your team.
