ZipZoomFly has good prices but I wouldn't buy memory from them. Their RMA track record sucks. Recently I bought a laptop DVD burner from them, and had to RMA it because of DOA. Submitted two RMA requests online at their website, and two emails to multiple customer service and RMA email addresses. So far I've received one response saying they hadn't received my RMA request. (The amazing thing is that they were replying to my first email and all the info for the RMA request was in the email they quoted in the reply!) It's been more than a week now and I still don't have an RMA #. They're ignoring me basically until I get tired and send it to the manufacturer for repair instead.

With ZZF, if the product works, great. If it doesn't, it'll be impossible or a major hassle to request any RMA from them.

Check resellerratings. A lot of other people have had similar experience with them.

They cancel my order but charged my cc.. dumba$$ it might still go through.. but they told me they cancelled.. since i bought from somewhere else now.. the page shows it for 442.20...

I have been trying to call Page computers for 30 minutes, and they put you on hold and after two minutes it tells you to e-mail AND AUTO HANGS UP WTF
 
Okay...I just tried sales instead...said to leave a message...and then that I couldn't cause the mailbox was FULL...

I am never....ever...touching Page computers again.

BTW: They've already charged my card.....

I just got my order cancelled today from Page. Man...I'm sorry I even mentioned their name. Never had any dealings with them in the past and don't plan on having any with them in the future.

kingston could have had so much more business if their site didn't crash.
 
Just ordered from ZZF for $177 with free shipping but tacked on $1.99 for FedEx two day delivery. Maybe it'll get here before the weekend... 😀

Guys, just replying again looking for help, I think I've been scammed by Page Computers. They haven't responded to any e-mail but one, where they said my order was cancelled and my card wasn't charged...but it was charged...and isn't cancelled....I called my bank and they said they can't refund my money, Page Computers has too, since it wasn't a fraudulent draw (it is in my eyes...)....I really don't know what to do...is Page going to fix this and just do it slowly, or what is happening? =(
 
just dispute the charge. I've never had a card say no. They should credit your card immediately during the dispute resolution

Hard lesson to learn.
NEVER use a debit/check card.

I would call BoA again, and tell them why they don't want to protect you from unscupulous vendors, then tell them you will take your business elsewhere.
Then call your BBB, and maybe even your AG.
 
These Page Computer people are shady at best. Here's the email I received 3 days after I placed my order. They charged my credit card too and have yet to reverse it ... and won't reply to my emails. Notice the underlined sentence. I'm gettin' very impatient with this company. :|

Well it always takes awhile for a credit to show up on a cc, I wouldn't worry about it just yet. You can always dispute the charge if you have to, no biggie. I don't know about on a debit card though in reference to the other guy... but you shouldn't be using those anyway. Once money is gone from there, it's gone.

I got the same exact mail from the same exact person.

and to the other post...I didn't give them my PIN man..it's my check card...the can where you just pick VISA and type it in...

Anyhow I thought I was protected because they told me when I got the card I'm not liable for Fraudulent Charges...=/

Anyhow I contacted the BBB for their area, and they have a great record of getting companies to settle up (0 unresolved complaints to Page Computers), so hopefully they can help.

Just not my week..=/


Also thanks for the advice, I am considering calling BoA back and asking why they don't want to help me...because seriously, isn't that messed up when your own bank says that to you?

The community credit union has nicer support, even if I have to give up the awesomeness of BoA's online features.

It's sad when banks care more about their own reputation than your well being.

Man, I've got the worst luck with RAM.

Got these sticks today and nothing but random critical errors and reboots. Even tried relaxing the settings and upping the voltage a bit. 🙁

That sucks. My HyperX sticks were perfect. Tested them same day I received them at stock speeds using MemTest+.

My Corsair XMS however... :|

My PQI Turbo... one stick had to be RMA'd twice, but now all is good.

You aren't the only one with bad luck on RAM.

Run memtest on them! I've found one pass is enough to find bad modules. Make a CDROM using the ISO image.
