The kinect it pretty cool. Picked it up off amazon dirt cheap. But I ended up returning it. Maybe later down the road ill pick it up again. For now ill just stick with my move.

My wife bought a kinect yesterday to play that dancing game and some fitness game. I gave it a shot.

Unlike Best Buy where the kinect was 100% unusably laggy it actually works well. The major annoyances were mostly space related (both in that my living room is almost too small to play (It want's us to stand like 10 feet back) and that where my mind says something should be is not where the kinect says something should be.

I did have a lot of fun and worked up a sweat jumping in that river rapids game. I'm just posting to admit I was wrong.

I tried kinect adventures for the first time last night, and it was fun. It has it quirks, but I like it. My 4 year old loves playing, so that's an added bonus.

This thread reminds me why I rarely step into the console forums - what is it about consoles that breed hating and fanboyism? Kinect is shit tons of fun. I'm not gonna buy one but I'll visit mates who have them and play for hours. Kinect > hating.

lol i suggest you never go into the video card forum

Super cool exercise tool, at least the dance game is.

But the rest was just kinda boring and mindless and will undoubtedly sit next to my wii sports discs once novelty gone...no replay value.

Although if you've got kids, they'll have fun. But then again, don't kids have fun at just about anything that isn't school or homework?
