Clinton lies about getting head, and is impeached.
Bush lies in an effort to justify an evil war - and has the opportunity to get re-elected.

conclusion: americans are a separate species several times dumber than any other human being.

p.s. i, myself am an American, yet am ashamed of that fact.

I am ashamed that you're an American too.

A poll like this is pretty worthless here. It'll always be skewed because the liberals seem to have a great majority on these boards, and most people vote party lines.

The reason they are the majority on these boards, is because

1. They don't have and won't get a job
2. If they have a job, they're not doing the work they're supposed to
3. They don't have friends in real life
4. It's easy to have a browser open while chatting in IRC looking for the next 14 year old victim

Which one of those is why you post on this board? I'm guessing #4.

I love how people decide they are so superior, they know exactly how everyone thinks and acts. Anyone who doesn't think like them is a waste of time and obviously inferior. It's sort of amusing, you end up making yourself look like the fool with posts like that...

I guess that doesn't bother you though....I mean waaaaaay up there. How's the air up there?

Uh oh somebody's panties are in a bunch. 😀

Previous elections about 60-80% of the people voting on the polls here claimed to vote for Bush. Guess either they all suddenly lost their jobs due to Bush' policies and therefor turned Liberal, finally started using their brain, or are too ashamed to speak up.

Oh I see you are really a point you are just bad mouthing people who disagree with you politically.

Exactly. It's easier to lump everyone you don't agree with in a certain group,

Actually there are some liberal people here that make good points that I agree with time to time.

and then decide they are not worth listening to since your view is obviously the correct one.

If you weren't worth listening to I wouldn't be here. 😉

Too bad the world is far from black and white...

Here we go again... just heard a liberal talk about this on the radio - you guys might see everything as varying shades of gray, but that doesn't make you more elite, it makes you more myopic. Every element of our existence is governed by a true or false, you must conclude with absolutes at the basic level to be able to evaluate the bigger picture (your gray). Liberals perceive conservatives as naive for viewing everything in black and white (good and evil, right and wrong, etc.), but overcomplication of the world does not make you more educated.

OMG lighten up people.

Nah...people like you don't bother me. It's not worth my time to get upset over such trivial things. If you post garbage like that post, I'll call you on it though. 🙂

That's good, but it doesn't seem to stop you from posting about how they are all worthless and what not...

Maybe there is hope for you yet...🙂

I disagree. I wouldn't claim that seeing things in shades of grey makes anyone more elite, nor does over simplifying. I also didn't claim either side to be "more educated" or "less educated"...that would be a generalization which are, generally (no pun intended) wrong. 🙂

well said^

Weapons of Mass Distraction or not, this is the first time there was a large US force smack dab in the middle, Middle East not a U.N. but a U.S. force. After the dust settles, the surrounding countries may give pause, when we're not a Pacific or Atlantic ocean away.

Or...

Other countries who might not be on our good side will feel threatened now. They may accelerate efforts to get nuclear (how does Bush say it? 😉 ) weapons as a means of defense against an agressive US. It seems to work for NK. We may also inflame the already strong hatred for us by Islamic extremists and cause more and more of them to try a terrorist attack as their only means of responding.

Oh wait...nevermind. Those "evil doers" are out there!!! We must respond!!! Yeee-hah!

😉

possibly true, but geographically it's more of a pinning Pakistan between US forces and Isreal...

the "gusto" is distasteful, I would prefer some more humility

BTW, the Bush nuclear thing is (agreeably hillbilly sounding) simply his twang, kinda like the way Gephardt says "fahrty" for forty..

Are you saying appeasement and passifism is the better way to root out terrorism? Islamic extremists hate our way of life. They hate our influence on the rest of the world. Where as before everything was done at a pace, in secret - now they're running around like chickens with their heads cut off. If they accelerate they're efforts it just makes it easier for us to track them and wipe them out.

I would have to say that the Islamic non-extremists are more in favor of us now than ever before, considering that we just liberated them.

Yeah...that's why I don't make a big deal out of stuff like how someone speaks, it is kind of comical though. I'm from New England...want some chowdah??His speaking style however...err..nevermind. 😉 If you can't say something nice... 🙂

I voted for him the first time because I thought that his character was stronger than Gore's. I am decidedly and independent, and whether or not I vote for Bush in the next election depends on whom he is running against. I think that Bush has made some bad decisions, but that doesn't unequivocally mean that I won't vote for him if I think he's the better choice of whoever the Dems put up.

Nope, never said that. You know etech? He likes to do that...😉

I was merely pointing out some consequences to our actions. You know...that whole grey area thing we talked about before... I'm more afraid of christian extremists anyhow...😛

🙂

Not Bush,
He is too soft on the separation of Church and State for my tastes. And I really do not want him and Pat Robertson chosing any Supreme Court judges

First you would have to know what separation of church and State really means (and you can't honestly believe the founding fathers put that clause in with the thought of all the abuse this clause is used now). To even make the statement that Pat Robertson had any kind of influence in who is becoming a supreme court judge shows your biased. From your statement I'll put you in the same category as Pat, just on the other side of the spectrum.

I walked in the rain to vote for Bush and I will gladly do it again.

It is very important NOT to put someone even the slightest liberal ideas in the White House. There will be seats on the Supreme Court opening up soon and those that fill those spots will be affecting lives for much, much longer than four to eight years.

Will need to ensure that level-headed people who understand their jobs as interpreters of the law and that leave the design of law to the legislature.

The way that Democrats are so adamantly opposing recent federal court nominees only shows that the Dems are very aware that there is 40 years worth of bad case law out there that can be changed if a level-headed majority is formed. If the prior holdings weren't pulled out of the air, the Dems wouldn't be so terrified.

No, but may be voting against the other parties candidate. Depends who will be the democratic hopeful.

I'm not inclined to, but, depends who the other parties are. Maybe I'll vote for independent party and enjoy being a 'stolen vote from x'.

Ahhh yes...if person x feels this way, he belongs in category y. There...now I don't have to listen to person x since he is now one of "them". 😉

Translation:

Liberal = bad, Conservative = good. We need to have everyone in government conservative so all future laws are favored by conservatives. We will save all you poor misguided people...us "level-headed" people that are your local neighborhood conservatives.
