I didn't vote Bush last time, but I plan to this time. (Well... I didn't vote last time because I was lazy, maybe I will vote this time).

Anyhow, the way I see it, Bush makes CNN funny and Comedy Central even more funny. Every episode of the Daily Show is non stop laughter at Bush's expense. You can't get this kind of comedy from standup.

there's a great reason to re-elect Bush

Well, it worked for Clinton 😛

High School teachers make better leaders. I wish my old math teacher would run for president , maybe bring back some dignity in this democracy.

And I can't believe half the people in this country that elected Clinton, who did not do a damn thing in office (Except get blow jobs on a day by day basis), have the nerve to complain about Bush. Bush is a Leader, he made a tough decision because he thought more innocent lives were at the mercy of a mad man.

If he really did think our lives were at danger, then good for him for trying to protect us. It would of been much worse if he just sat on his hands like Clinton did.

Lastly, to all those who love GWB because they love smaller gov't and gov't spending - GWB has proposed the largest expansion of gov't since probably the New Deal. We have new cabinet departments, homeland security, new regulations, 400 billion in Medicare, billions and billions in aid, limitless miltary spending and new toys. At the same time as a weak economy and with trillions in tax cuts and decreases in gov't revenue. The myth that Republicans are fiscally responsible needs to be exposed and placed on the snopes.com urban legend site.

As I have said before, both Democrats and Republicans want to spend your money. They are just debating on how to do so.

I pity the president that replaces bush tho...GW has really f'd things up and the ramifications are going to set this country back in many ways for a very long time. can't think of anything he's improved either.

I would like to see a poll like this of just republicans and those who voted for him in 2k.

Then make one. Unfortunately, it will probably be skewed by people voting who aren't republican and/or didn't vote for him in 2000. People are just like that.

I can't say yes or no right now as I would need to see who President Bush runs against 🙂

Yeah I'd say, depends on who the competition is. If the competition is even worse, then it'll end up being the "less of two evils" kinda like the last election. I guess there are also the little candidates that don't really matter...

I would say probably. Like everyone has said, I would like to know who Bush is running against
before I make my decision. Though I lean on the conservative side, I am not one to say I would
vote for Saddam before I voted democrat. I'll probably wait until I know who all the final candidates
are and then decide.

I live in Florida so I can tell you straight up you're wrong 😉 Every vote mattered even if these old raisins down here are too old to even punch the chad all the way or figure out how to vote for the guy they want 😛

Actually, I agree with crazygal; one vote does not, and likely never will, make any difference. Even in an election that was that hotly contested, the difference was in the thousands, not in the single digits. One man/woman can make a difference by influencing a large block of voters, but a single vote is EXTREMELY unlikely to ever make a difference.

And, just to make it a bit more entertaining and ironic, every one of those people who did vote for Gore in Florida and made it so close had their votes discarded when the Electoral College gave all of Florida's electoral votes to Bush.

Just not a process I am particularly fond of...
This part of Chowderhead's post covers the issue nicely
Elections sometimes can hinge on one vote

Eatontown Election Decided by a Coin Toss

Various Elections decided by One Vote My point was that there are perhaps thousands of potential voters in Florida who feel the same as crazygal does that would have made a difference if they had voted. either by making the margin more decidely for Bush or electing Gore president. It's all about the philosophy not the statistical probability of one vote that makes me believe that every vote is important 😉

<<...and warned they would use WMD,>>

huh?

Like Bush using misinformation to use for justifying this war, how many of you have decided to vote a certain way based on misinformation?

If you offered me $1,000,000 american hard currency to do it I would tell you to shove it up your colon. It is ONLY my supreme self control that has prevented me from supporting assassination of the bastard so far.

Is that pretty much clear? Cause I don't want to seem to wishy-washy on it. 😎

I think it's safe to say the majority does not feel the way you do. What makes your opinion so much more valid than anyone elses? Why is the way you want it to be the right way?
I don't even really know what to say to this. Good Lord! It's an OPINION!!! Who said it was the absolute truth!?

So, when you say "I think it's safe to say the majority does not feel the way you do." I can start attacking the way that you have proclaimed the truth about the state of the majority's thoughts on the matter? It's your OPINION - it doesn't have to be right. When people express an OPINION they are merely stating what they believe. Look around, most everything you read on ATOT is OPINION. You'd better get busy, there are a lot of posts and you have a lot of people to inform that they have no right to express an opinion.

Agreed FatJackSprat !

It so easy to point the finger and be a whiner, rather than working with others toward a common good and solving problems. Both sides of the US Government are guilty of this.
