I just started playing BF3 again after a couple years hiatus and was surprised at how fun it still is. Replay value is through the roof on those games. BF4 looks like it might be even better, with 64 players and 60 fps.

Kingdom Hearts III

As long as Square doesn't dudebro mature it and ruin it like they do lately.

If Sora gets a 5 o'clock shadow and starts quipping one liners and acting like a bad ass, I'm done.

I'm looking forward to Destiny since it seems it wont come to the PC. I like the art direction and it being a mix of Borderlands and Defiance gets my attention, I can see spending a fair bit of time playing it.

Two games I am very interested in but we know almost nothing about and I could end up not caring about them are Deep Down and The Order 1886.

Otherwise, really there isn't much for the next gen currently that blows me away. Any multiplatform titles that come out on the PC I'll just get there instead. If it wasn't for that there would be more titles I'd list.

I agree but I am going to have forza, killer instinct, killzone, infamous, possibly knack too. Mostly the exclusives. Watch dogs etc are going to be on my PC.

definitely looks badass, i just wish it wasn't a ps3/360 game being ported. now i know how pc gamers feel!

Lol so much truth 😉

It's okay though, a good game is a good game is a good game. I still play NES/GBA/SNES/Genesis/etc from time to time, and it's remarkable just how fun a great title can be even with graphics/sound that are horrendous by modern standards.

super mario kart is STILL the best racing game of all time. better than all this fancy forza and gran turismo stuff they put out now a days.

As much as Destiny looks like Halo, I think it will play really good.

Personally, I am looking forward to Mad Max, because I love that post apocalypse setting and loved the Mad Max movies.

I have to see the game in action first. I like the setting etc but it has got to be done right.

That's because you insist on playing 240p on your HD flat panels.

:awe:

Oh no lol 🙂

I used to have a Sony PVM 20", but now settle on a TV w/SVHS cables. It's not RGB quality, but at least it's a lot better than the standard RF or AV cables.

I'm leaning towards watch dogs since bf and cod are better enjoyed on the p,c, if i end up getting a desktop later this year I'm gonnaplay those on the pc

The enormous elephant in the room for the BF series was the number of players per map on the console. It really undermined the entire reason for battlefield existing. Because that is now fixed on the next gen consoles, I really think a console will be a great platform for this game. I can't wait. 🙂

People say that, but I actually only play the Close Quarters maps on BF3 (on PC no less!) now. I just disliked the feel of the larger maps in BF3 for some reason. BC2 was okay, but they weren't as large.

Don't lie...the graphics of the SNES days are really bad compared to modern games. It isn't the panel's fault that there were no 3D models and such.

Depends on the game. 256x224 aside, some of the hand drawn RPG pixel art is gorgeous and timeless.

Even the modern PSP and DS have numerous 2D games that stick to the same style.

Doom and everything else including the dithered to hell DKC and KI? Yeah... I don't talk about those... 😉

Some of the sprite based fighting games of that era still look decent, but the high quality graphics put out today makes pretty much everything released older than 3 or 4 years ago look extremely dated.

I think it will as well.

Personally playing a FPS with a controller feels like trying to scratch my nuts with a watermelon. And I *hate hate hate* aim assist.

That said, I realize that millions of people like it, and more power to em. BF3 was really hobbled on the current-gen consoles, it was just a bridge too far imho, and the experience was really compromised. With BF4 and XB1/PS4, there should be no gimpness to it at all. I'll be playing it on PC, but I think the console-only people will have just as much fun with it on their consoles.

I understand. I think that's part of the genius of the battlefield games, there are so many modes and map/play styles that there's something for almost anyone. I personally hate the close quarters style small maps, but mainly because I've played FPS for well over two decades by now, and I have had my fill of that style. But I'm happy they're there for those that like them, it gives more people the opportunity to enjoy the title/series. I have a friend who plays 90% 64P metro, I can't understand the appeal lol, but he has a blast.

In the end, that's really the only point. Regardless of DRM, graphics, controls, whatever, if you're having fun, it's all you can ask for. If not, there are a bazillion more options out there.
