My dad used to say, you can outrun the car, but you can't outrun the radio. The police will always get you...eventually.

Awesome driving. Pretty impressive for a 15 year old, wish he would have gotten away - he deserved it.

That stretch of highway is right down the road from me about 20-30 mins.

With regards to the sound effects, I don't think those were added in. Most police package vehicles today have Eyewitness systems installed in them. There is a microphone pack that the officer wears and when you turn on the overheads on your patrol vehicle, the camera and audio system start recording. Those sounds you heard were probably real sounds from the Eyewitness audio recorder. Also, I don't think that the BMW was ever seriously going to get away from that Camaro. The Camaro had plenty of closing power on that BMW. The officer seemed to back off when the kid started acting squirrely and even more so when he heard the stop sticks were deployed. I'm pretty sure that BMW broke down because it was running up near redline when that kid was hitting 150mph. 150mph sounds like the top end speed for that model of BMW to me, but I'm no expert on it.

I like how the announcer said it was a 'near miss' when the cop almost hit the kid

That's some pretty hot driving for a 15 year old...missing the stop strips, and knowing to pretend to swerve with your shoulders...

Ahhhhh, the joy of video games :)

The M3 didnt break down, the kid actually DID get away. All they did was copy and paste the beginning of when the BMW stopped initially and slap it on the end of the clip to make it like he stopped. Wonder why there was no opening clip of him stopping and then taking off?

Because the vcr in the patrol car doesn't turn on until the blue lights come on. The blue lights don't come on until the cop knows there's a crime. Most likely, the guy was already driving fast before the cops showed up.

The kid owned him with the shoulder move, making the cop spazz into the median. I bet he was laughing his ass off watching his rear view mirror. I would bet that thing ran out of gas rather than broke down...there was no smoke or anything like he popped the engine.

I agree, he would have been better off stealing a Ford Festiva or a Geo Metro over a Nissan :)

Lack of downforce. But since both of those cars are designed for performance, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

How do you gather this?

And isn't the M3 designed for going 150mph on the autobahn? I can't imagine much of a market for them in Europe if it can't handle a few minutes at that speed..

You know you can watch wmv in BSPlayer and there are also plugins for winamp. Don't spaz, it's not like it's an rma file.
