YEAAH!!

I'm so excited...got a big envelope in the mail today labeled "MIT" and I knew my dream had come true...man this is such a great day~~!

And even better (but totally off topic), a Baskin Robbins opened up near my house... 😀 😀

Where do you go to High School by the way?

Also, realize that your dating standards will plummet in about 2 years, unless of course you choose to hit up the Boston University, Harvard girls.

Uh, I go to HS at Enloe High School in Raleigh, NC.

As for dating standards...my girlfriend got in too...so I won't have to worry about that I hope. Though, a current MIT-er tells stories of "f*ck trucks" from harvard...teehee

Looks like you'd have to decide whether to give up Baskin Robins and go to MIT or stay and enjoy the Icecream. Tough decision.

She's looking to do something in biology or bio-engineering, I'm aiming for mechanical or aerospace engineering and math.

Uh...my mom says it'll be a stretch, but she thinks we can do it. We'll definitely have to be a lot more frugal now...lol.
 
Remember, a lot of these expensive colleges give out scholarships. Don't be overwhelmed by the 45K per year price tag. It is more likely 30 to 35K. Also look for private funding from companies, etc.... Don't give up the opportunity.


Thats quite the achievement, man. I wish I had applied to MIT 4 years ago. Still ended up at a pretty good university and out in the working world now. Still, thinking of what would have been.

Be careful of the frats at MIT, notorious for alchoholism. interesting fact about MIT is that you would be hard pressed to find a non engineering frat.
