Keurig Quality seems low

I've been using my Keurig for about a year and a half and have no complaints.

it's great for someone like me, who drinks maybe 2-3 cups/week... I could never keep coffee fresh when I had a standard machine, and the Keurig gives me less dishes to have to wash afterward.

Even the largest cup is not that large, I've had the best results with the regular 8oz setting, and sometimes I'll brew two into one cup.

If you want mass quantities of coffee a regular brewer makes more sense. Single cup machines are just that, single cup machines. If you want to lug around a barrel full of coffee well there are solutions for that.

.................

For me the issue is sometimes you hit brew and it acts like its going to but nothing comes out.

.....................

............ It worked fine for about 6 months, at which point it stopped brewing. We used nothing but filtered water in it.

Mine flaked out after a year. It's similar to a post a above. You hit the brew button and it just sort of hums at you.......................... .

You are all having the same problem I mentioned earlier - you HAVE to descale these things. I don't care if you use filtered water or not, it still needs descaled. I was only using RO filtered water and still had to do it. After ~6 months or less it would start occasionally not brewing a full cup. A week or two later and it would hum and act like it was fine but no water comes out.

Fill the water container with vinegar, run a few cycles, let the machine sit for a few hours, run a few cycles.. Clean the metal piercing things in the jaw assembly. It will work fine for a long time.

I've never had a problem with my platinum at home, or my mini at the office. Keurig sends tons of them to Afghanistan for us to use over there too. Great company, great products. I've never "descaled" my platinum either. Just use regular tap water, never had any issues.
