Assuming the doctor's story is entirely true, under the practice then in effect in 'Nam, a Purple Heart award was appropriate. Anyway, he got two more that were legitimate.

I can't stand Kerry, and would vote for Reagan if we could prop him up in the White House, but this is really, really, really, STUPID stuff.

It all boils down to a man's character! Which one do you trust?

This is really grasping at straws... So he didn't get his leg blown off? Big deal. Bush was busy snorting coke while AWOL. (exaggerated for effect)

Neither Bush nor Kerry's military records are anything to get excited about. But Kerry's is clearly better, at least he actually did something.

Hmmm. Anyone else see a bit of a problem with a doctor discussing one of his patients with the media? Isn't there some nit about doctor-patient confidentiality every physician swears to follow? I'm astounded by how low the Bush minions will go, and how regularly they go there. There's not an ounce of integrity in the whole lot of them.

We know Bush has none. That leaves Kerry by default.

Dashriprock:

This doctor put down his remembrances from 30 years earlier and we are to give him credibility? How many 30 year old conversations do you remember? Sheezh, most of you guys are closer to 30 minutes old than 30 years old. :)

Anyway, the doctor probably saw 20-50 guys a day and remembers Kerry? Ok. I hope you never serve on a jury if you believe this orchestrated crap.

Oh, and something else, I'd like nothing more than to see Kerry blown out of the water before the Democratic National Convention because my distaste for the man is complete. Please, if you can find something substantial, don't give it to us, give it to the national news media.

:)

lets see...

Max Cleland blew his legs and arm off picking up a U.S. made grenade,
Kerry "earns" his first Purple Heart after getting "wounded" by a fragment of his own grenade...

Democrats should stay away from grenades....

Well he served in Vietnam. Bush was snorting coke at that time. Kerry should rip on Bush about the time that he got busted with cocaine.

So if a police officer recalls 30 years ago how he busted GWB for coke you guys would doubt his recall and accuracy? You would say, "Now wait a minute fellow libs, let's give GWB the benefit of the doubt, how can we be sure this guy is telling the truth?" Yeah, Yeah, Sure, Sure...

You would ask that his police record be released. Same as for calling for the release of the detailed medical report on Kerry's first war wound. If it turns out that "it got lost", you wouldn't think there was anything fishy about that now would you?

Like I said, it's about man's character. Given the two choices, someone who got busted for coke or smoked pot compared to someone who orchestrated a fast track war record to get out of Dodge ASAP and then turn on his fellow soldiers when he got back, I think I'd pick the for former not the latter. We already know your choice.

Funny thing is, that most voted for the draft dodging pot smoking cokehead two times in a row............Clinton. Now they want Kerry, who confuses himself with Kerrey in his latest advertisement. On a roll for For/Against, so Kerry?Kerrey is a natural!!!

Dashriprock:

This guy isn't a police officer first of all. Police officers, justifiably, get a lot of credibility. Secondly, a police officer is likely to have written a report documenting the incident. If he didn't then he wasn't doing his job.

But, assuming some police officer stepped forward tomorrow and says he stopped GW 30 years ago with a bag of coke and let him go home, I'd say "Where have you been the last 6-8 years?" It would smell just as badly as this little anecdote YOU think proves something. All this incident does is reinforce your right wing prejudices.

The mere passage of time can destroy a witness's credibility just as it can destroy other forms of evidence.

sorry but if I had to choose I would much rather own up to doing some blow than getting blown up by my own grenade...

It's common knowledge in Arkansas. That's why he isn't as liked here as in the rest of the U.S., and why he was disbarred from practicing law bythe State of Arkansas. Clinton and Don Tyson, of Tyson Foods, partied it up aboard Tysons private jet with local "girls" and coke from time to time. Don Tyson was head of a drug ring, in business with Dan Lasater, (Clintons pal, pardoned by then Gov. Clinton), and Patsy Thomasson, who was "involved with Lasater" on several levels. The fun all stopped when the DEA had issues with the Tysons. Then Governor Clinton went all quiet on the night-life after that.

Good choice!!!

You have my permission to vote for Bob KERREY, as Kerry now confuses himself with the Senator in his latest ad. Funny thing is, they also both have a problem with lying about their war medals. Natural mistake in Kerrys part I think.

Your permission?? To quote RATM "Fsck you I won't do what you tell me... Motherfscker!"

BTW, lying about ones Military experience is in bad form but it doesn't even cone close to lying to the American Public to garner it's support for an ill conceived war!

Yawn. Hmm, doctor coveniently remembers 35 years ago and breaks doctor/patient confidentiality to write down his memories due to "friends" questioning him about it. Love how the try and qualify this poop with this line:

Letson says he has had no contacts with anyone from the Bush campaign or the Republican party

Scurry along now X-man, surely YOU could write something more credible than this garbage.

And you should stay away from keyboards. If you were a real doctor, you would know about this whole patient/doctor confidentiality, but I digress....
