Oh I don't know, the GTO's pretty damn fast isn't it? 😉

Kerry is not exactly a poor man. What does he know about making it?

Last I checked the government bent over backwards to give single unwed mothers a helping hand. What universe is he from.

Marriage is a choice. You have only to blame yourself for sex outside of marriage and a baby on the way. . . . . .

Unfortunately I did not purchase a GTO, long story short: Dealer sold my car that I had put a deposit on 4 months in advance, then lied to me saying a production snafu caused a delay in my order. Thanks to a GTO fan site with resources, I was able to learn that my car was produced, shipped, and sold by my dealer 3 days prior to my phone call with the bad news. An investigation by Pontiac revelaed the dealer sold my vehicle for $5k over sticker (my contract was for sticker). Supposedly the dealer was fined for this serious breach of trust and Pontiac offered me a GTO to my specs for $2k under GMS pricing. Unfortunately, I had sold my car and was unable to wait the 3 months for delivery.

I bought a 2004 Acura TL instead. It's a piece of sh1t (rattles and vibrating driveline) and I should have just bought a beater and waited for the GTO. :disgust:

Man you got screwed. I would think that would leave the dealer open to a suit. Three months? They should have provided you with a beater on their dime for that time until your car came through.

Wow, that sucks. Sorry to hear about that. I'm also kinda surprised to hear that about the Acura TL. Honda/Acuras are normally pretty tight. Buzzy, but tight. I *do* like the TL styling.

Democrat John Kerry, trying to blunt recent good news about job creation

""Twenty years ago, middle class families with one parent working used to be able to buy a home and pay for college," Kerry said in the statement. "But today, two incomes barely cover the basics."

That is a lie and some people will argue endlessly over whether Pres. Bush lied and are oh so concerned about it.

Are you as concerned when your anti-candidate lies?

I have sent my son to college, have two paid off vehicles, my house is paid off and my wife does not have a paying job. My job is middle class. It can be done.

Kerry lied.

Hmmm, you consider that generalized statement a lie? Hmmmm, that tells me something about you etech. Furthermore, living in OK on two incomes is not the same as living on one of the coasts with two incomes. Try doing it in SoCal where the average crapbox house costs $400K+ and then tell me how it works out.

generalized?

""But today, two incomes barely cover the basics.""

Nope, I and others have proven that one income can give a very comfortable lifestyle.

I haven'e seen so much backpedaling and spinning since there was controversy over the definition of what "is" means, so let's move on if you wish.

Next, Does anyone know just who those foreign leaders are that Kerry said "beseeched him to prevail over President Bush " He's refusing to back up that statement. Of course he hasn't met any of them since the start of last year.

But I am telling you to chill out.

My wife doesn't have a paying job and we're doing fine.

The house is paid off, we have no debt, and the kids to go to private school.

My wife works part time, the house has 23 years to go before it is paid off, my kids go to public school and were surviving. Nothing more. But I am a smoker so I guess I am just being punished by God.

The whole having the house paid off thing would seem to be where there line is drawn in the sand between doing fine and surviving.

Personally I believe it takes more than one fiscally responsible person tooting his own horn to prove that a congressman made "an untrue statement with the intent to deceive" regarding the state of the economy today for middle class families compared with 20 years ago. Thats just me though.

However I do commend you for being a good example of fiscal responsibilty and wish more people would treat their financial issues with similar regard. [pat, pat 🙂]

a.) "middle class" is sociologically defined as anybody in a career path - including doctors, lawyers, etc. This means a lawyer making a quarter million a year is still middle class.

b.) Lie or not, all politicians lie. I wish people would a.) accept this, b.) realize all politicians are just elected criminals, and c.) stop caring about the actual 'moral fiber' of the politician and concentrate on whether or not he would do a good job. I don't care if a politician is a raging alcoholic - as long as he gets the job done well.
